Current Employer: Cornwall College Job Title: Learning Technologist Roles and Responsibilities: Manage and ensure the smooth running of the corporation's Virtual Learning Environment: Moodle. (and currently overseeing the corporation's move from Moodle version 1.9 - 2.3) Manage a team of ILT Advocates at each of the college's seven campuses Maintaining an empathic and mutually supportive relationship with the institution's IT Services team. Achievements
Nominated for STAR Award for Outstanding HE Teaching in 2007. Authored and built the first Initial Teacher Training (ITT) and ITT in-service courses to be studied using blended learning methodology and the first (and only) ITT course to be studied entirely online, using Moodle, web 2.0 applications and Second Life. As a direct result of my own subject specialist status in English, I am the South West Regional Advocate for Research and Practice in Adult Literacy (RaPAL) and co-editor of the RaPAL Journal.
