WHAT IS THE EMT-M60(E)?

EMT-M60(E)

The Equipment For Maintenance And Testing EMTM60(E) was designed to be used by the maintenance staff in order to carry out all inspection and maintenance tasks on M60A3 Tank Turrets on whatever maintenance level.

It consists of the following main components:

EMT-M60(E)

THE BASIC EQUIPMENT Provides the necessary electric and hydraulic power. The Power Pack is electronically (programmed) remote-controlled. Includes all necessary adaptors and connection hoses.

THE ACCESSORIES Special adaptors enabling connections with the M60s units. Several flexible hoses to convey hydraulic fluid and nitrogen. A Pressure Regulator and Pressure Gauges. Valve Opener for nitrogen filling valves.

THE GYMNASTICATION DEVICE Serves to gymnasticate the gun. Is installed/uninstalled in several minutes. Once installed, the gymnastication can be repeated remote-controlled as often as necessary.

THE PURGING AND FILLING KIT Serves to carry out all purging and filling tasks on the Fire Control and Sighting equipment.

GYMNASTICATION OF GUN M68 BY USING THE GYMNASTICATION DEVICE APART FROM GYMNASTICATION (BY USING THE GYMNASTICATION DEVICE) THE FOLLOWING TASKS CAN BE CARRIED OUT Gymnastication without using the GymnasticationDevice by pumping hydraulic fluid into the Recoil Mechanism.
