Welcome to Grace! We are a family of believers dedicated to sharing the Good News of salvation in Jesus Christ. We believe and confess that this is done as the Means of Grace, Gods Word and Sacraments are shared and administered in their truth and purity. Living as His people we bear witness to His love and mercy shown to us and to all. We recognize that others will know that we are Christians by our love shared in word and deed which is our response to His love for us. If you are visiting it is our prayer that you will realize these things about us as Gods people gathered in this place. If you wish to learn more about our teachings as drawn from Gods Word please speak with our Pastor. We are glad you are here and we invite you to come and worship with us again. We ask that everyone fill out an attendance registration card found at each pew and return it to an Usher as the Offering is collected. Children are welcome in our Service and will be invited to come forward for a Childrens Message. Parents may accompany them if they wish. We have a staffed nursery facility for infants and toddlers located downstairs in this building for anyone who has need. Restroom facilities are located downstairs as well as on this floor level across the bridge before entering the fellowship hall. If you have any questions, please speak with an usher or greeter.

HOLY COMMUNION
Holy Communion will be celebrated in our 10:45 Service today. In this sacrament we receive Christs very body and blood for the forgiveness of sins. Those who are not members of Grace are asked to speak with our Pastor before partaking of this sacrament so that the unity of faith might be established. Thank you for honoring this request.

AS WE GATHER
Every other year we designate a Sunday to be observed as Food For the Poor Sunday. Food For the Poor according to the Chronicle of Philanthropy, is the first-largest international relief organization in the United States. Since its inception, FFP has provided more than $8.3 billion in aid and has built more than 78,000 homes for the destitute. This morning Rev. Gerald Kovac will once again share with us the story of this ministry for the lest of these through a message entitled, Letting the Son Shine Through. You will be invited to prayerfully consider participating in this ministry through a special offering to be collected at the end of the Service.

As David slew the giant Goliath, so Jesus, our David, slew the jeering giants of sin, Satan, and death with the weapon of His own death. Discuss, How could David approach his battle with Goliath confidently? How can we face the Goliaths in our life with confidence? PASTOR WALTERS BIBLE CLASS meets at 9:45 a.m. each Sunday morning in Parker Hall. Pastor is leading a study that is looking at the liturgy and worship. This morning Rev. Gerald L. Kovac will share information on the FOOD FOR THE POOR ministry. SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES for children ages 3 years through 6th grade meet in the lower level of the Family Life Center. JUNIOR HIGH AND HIGH SCHOOL CLASSES meet in their classrooms downstairs in the church. FOOD FOR THE POOR SUNDAY Rev. Gerald L. Kovac, St. Louis, Missouri is our guest preacher in both Services today. Pastor Kovac was ordained in 1965. He served as a Chaplain for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections and as Executive Secretary of the Mission Board of the SELC District of the Lutheran ChurchMissouri Synod. Before preaching on behalf of Food For the Poor he served as Pastor in St. Louis for thirty-one years. Please keep the FOOD FOR THE POOR in your prayers.

FELLOWSHIP CLUB will meet on Tuesday, November 20th, at 12:00 noon, in Parker Hall to enjoy Stone Soup served by the ECDC. This is a great time for fellowship and to enjoy a great meal made by the children in our ECDC. SUNDAY MORNING COFFEE HOSTS We have openings for the last Sunday in November and all of December for you to sign up to serve refreshments between the early service and Sunday School/Bible Class. This is a great time for everyone to visit and for our visitors to get to know our members. CHURCH CLEANING DAY - It is time again to do a thorough cleaning of the Sanctuary and other areas of the Church. Please come on December 1, 2012. Kim will be there by 8:00 a.m. for the early-to-bed-early-to-rise contingent, but please, come any time in the morning to help polish the pews and altar area, dust the light fixtures and all that really fun stuff. We need all willing hands--including some long arms on tall legs. If you have questions, call Kim Woodyard at 425-6681. DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES Grace continues to support the foster care program in the East Office of DCFS. Some of the items they need for the children coming into their office include: baby bottles, baby wipes, diapers (all sizes), individual packaged snacks and small hand sanitizers. If you can help provide any of these items, please bring them to the church and place them in the box for DCFS which is in the church breezeway. GRACE YOUTH - The Youth have organized an outing for fun and fellowship this afternoon at Millennium Bowl in Maumelle at 4:00 p.m. to bowl a few games then go to American Pie Pizza on Maumelle Boulevard (just east of Counts Massie) for some dinner and a meeting at 5:30ish. Any parent that wants to join for all is welcome or drop your youth off to bowl and return at 5:30 to meet and eat is fine too. The meeting will be a planning session for fund raising events as we look toward the Youth Gathering. Please join us at both the bowling and the dinner even if you arent sure you are going to go the Youth Gathering. This is a great time for fun and fellowship. COOKIE WALK - The Annual Cookie Walk hosted by the JOY Club is Sunday, December 16th during coffee hour. We ask you to bring a batch of cookies (or several) to donate to the event. For the event, you purchase a bag$7.50 per bag, which you may fill with your choice of an assortment of cookies. This gives you the enjoyment of sampling many different cookie types while knowing that your support of the event goes toward helping a Grace family have a better Christmas.
