and Flight Safety Foundation agree to collaborate

Yesterday, the lnternational Civil Aviation Organization (lCAO) and the Flight Safety Foundation (FSF) agreed on a new initiative in which both parties will work together to pro mote and advance the global distribution of aviation safety information and data. The agreement supports lCAO Safety Management System (SMS) regulations that encourage increased monitoring, analysis, and reporting of aviation safety results, while promoting joint action between the organizations in the areas of data sharing and analysis, training, and technical assistance. The two groups will work more closely to improve global adherence to ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) under the ICAO-FSF Memorandum ofCooperation. Xiamen Airlines becomes 19th member of SkyTeam Yesterday, Xiamen Airlines officially beca me the 19th member of the SkyTeam alliance. The carrier's chairman, Che Shanglun, reportedly said that its membership in the global alliance would promote increased cooperation with fellow SkyTeam members, and ideally expand the airline's international route network.
