October 10, 1999 Mr. Pack: This letter is written based on Matt. 18. As you read this letter, I hope you will see how serious things are. Accordingly, I have decided to not take you up on your offer or even listen to your new offer concerning me working for RCG. You constantly brag about your business prowess (which got back to me from a certain establishment in Kent OH). Meanwhile, you create crises because of your lack of planning, demanding that the office staff and volunteers bail you out. You have demonstrated that you cant do scheduling and manage production. It appears that you try to run RCG via a retail model, and it just will not work. You will not accept input from people who know and understand (i.e., those who have actually done it, not just read about it) what needs to be done and how. You have on several occasions told me to do something or purchase some number of something, only to later tell me that we have a communication problem, because I didnt do what you had said. The problem is, there were witnesses to these conversations who can vouch for what I did as being what you had agreed to. You consistently make promises that, after you think about it, arent to your advantage, so you renege. And, you have been overheard in the office saying, I cant be held to these things and Why cant people just trust their minister? You take advantage of the weak, in direct opposition to what God says in the principles He gave about not cheating a blind man, or the deaf. You do not go to your brother with problems, but send others to do the job (prime example during RCG, Bill Sheppard). You have asked me to keep things from my wife on more than one occasion, which violates what God says about marriage that man and wife are to become ONE flesh. Doesnt this fall under abuse of ones spouse, thereby blocking my prayers to God, and does it not also violate the principle of can two walk together unless they be agreed? how can you be agreed if you keep secrets? Further, since my experience shows that taking you up on any agreement is hazardous, the only reason you would not want me to discuss it with my wife would be to NOT get her counsel. You have required me to take an oath on more than one occasion before you would discuss things with me. Yet Jesus Christ specifically said, Let your Yes be Yes and your No be No. We specifically use this to tell the courts why we only affirm and do not swear. Therefore, you put me in jeopardy for using this argument in not taking an oath in a court of law. You talked with me behind the back of one of your employees, telling me that she was unethical when she told someone that if you could summarily terminate my contract (as you did on the Tuesday before the FOT), you could just as easily terminate her with no warning. This is the pot calling the kettle black in that you have shown yourself to be unethical by your own behavior. Speaking of ethics -- You flatly stated to all of us that you would NEVER look at the tithe records. Then you coerced Mr. Ambrose into showing you his records via the premise that it is only fair since he knows your records. Now you are reviewing everyones contribution records (by your own admission). And, you have requested the employees to immediately write their tithe checks as soon as they get paid, which you, as an employer, cant do legally, or scripturally for that matter.

You have also overstepped your bounds concerning peoples personal lives. You have demanded to know how much severance pay they had coming, so you could co-opt their pay, having them work for free. You told me that a house I had was over priced in the market (rent wise) while my real estate broker was telling me I was under priced. And, you have determined how much time some persons should volunteer which means you are treating members of the flock as slaves. There are many other problems besides these, but for just these reasons alone I could not work for you in this organization as either an employee or under contract. Further, I have strongly suggested to my wife to resign effective immediately. Our staying with you in RCG only condones your bad conduct something you said you could not do when pointing out the same kinds of problems with Mr. Meredith. Therefore, since misbehavior is a form of heresy, you are teaching heresy by your actions. I am sorry to say that the parallels between you and King Saul are strikingly similar, going beyond height. You also demonstrate to me paranoia (Examples: Tim Mobley was going to wreck the web site. Bill Ambrose was going to embezzle all the funds. Bill Sheppard was going to erase masters, steal equipment and send poison pen letters using the mailing list.). You also speak out of both sides of your mouth wherein you run down a person behind their back and then praise them to their face. Or, you tell them they are a problem on one day and then a few days later they are truly wonderful. Lastly, because there is no human authority over you, I can not go to your superior to bring my charges (a la Matt. 18), which forces me to inform you that I am marking you for your conduct, which is unbecoming to a minister in Gods church. And the only way that I can enforce that is for me to leave your corporation and its congregation(s). I hope to see fruits of repentance because you have been teaching the truth. I very much want to see you address these problems. If you feel compelled to contact me, do so in writing: by letter or email.
