Please look for the following stages which covers part of the data transfers. Stage 1: [Creating DS] 1. Create CSV Data File 2. Create InfoObjects ->Catalog ->Char/KeyFigures -> and Fields 3. Create DS (DataSource) in BI Extraction -> Give CSV File path Extraction -> Select 01 for not to select header Extraction -> Select file type as CSV and then , (Comma) in column separator Fields - > Add technical names, BI automatically will copy the system fields associated with your infoObjects Activate it now Now, you DataSet is ready you need to Copy the data from CSV file to DS. Now you require InfoPackage who is automated program which will transfer the data from CSV to DS. Remember: Both sides (CSV and DS) columns sequence should be the same and text is written in CSV file should be in Capital letter. 4. Create InfoPackage for your DS and after creating it, click on schedule. It will transfer your data from CSV to DS, wait for some time then look for you data in DS by clicking right button on Manage. Now you have cleared your first stage. In this stage youve got your data on the staging data. Now you can copy this data to DSO / InfoCube / InfoObjects. We will send this data to DSO first Stage 2: [Creating DSO] 1. For creating DSO, goto InfoArea and Click right button on your InfoArea and select Create DSO (DataStore Object) 2. Select Fields from InfoObject to your DSO so that a structure is being prepared to send data into. 3. Select KeyColumn from InfoObject, and All data columns to data columns. 4. Activate it now Now your DSO has been created. Now there is something which will copy data from DS to DSO i.e. DTP (Data Transfer Process)

But still there is lack of something which will map field to field i.e. Transformation so we will create transformation first. Stage3. Transformation: 1. Click right button on InfoArea and select Create Transformation 2. Select target and source data, which is source, is DS and target is DSO. 3. A window will appear containing field mapping graphically, modify/update your mapping accordingly. 4. Activate it Now you need DTP to be created Stage4. DTP (Data Transfer Process) 1. Create DTP by clicking the right button on InfoArea and select Create DTP 2. Activate It and Execute it. DSO has 3 stages of Data i.e. New, Activated, and Logged Data. When you will run execute DTP data goes to New first time then Activate it, data will goto Active table. Now you can use DSO out of BI because it is in Active data.
