Information on fruit & vegetable promotional campaigns around Europe and beyond Freshfel Europe - New social media boost for EnjoyFresh initiative.
The association has launched a Youtube channel called Freshfel TV and several videos have already been uploaded.
France / Italy Interfel and Alimos team up for new kids campaign.
The programme will include TV commercials, teaching kits, dietary activities for schools among other actions. In Germany the campaign is taking place in schools and kindergartens with, for example, cooking lessons.

Calorie labelling in the out of home sector Salt reduction - pledge to meet the 2012 salt targets for 80 categories of food** Three salt pledges for caterers - cover kitchen practice, chef training, salt availability, reformulation and procurement Trans fats - pledge to remove artificial trans fats from food Calorie reduction - pledge to help consumers eat fewer calories Fruit and vegetables - pledge to promote consumption of fruit and vegetables to be launched soon. Salt survey results average intakes have fallen by 15% in the UK to 8.1g per day in 2011 down from 9.5g in 2000/1

Newsflash
Legislation introduced in the House of Commons would set sodium-reduction targets for dozens of food categories and would reduce the daily value for sodium from 2,400 to 1,500 milligrams. Lowering sodium intake would save 16,000 Lives, $2 billion (CAD) annually. Most Canadians are consuming two or three times the recommended amount of sodium, and increasing their odds of stroke, heart disease, kidney failure, and premature death"
