Based on what you know so far about portfolios (from the portfolio guidelines, from your own experience, from any research you have done), what is your definition of a writers portfolio? Portfolio divided into print portfolio and electronic portfolio. Electronic portfolio is set up a navigational scheme that links each section, or node. A writers portfolio consists of three

parts: the collection of work which means all the writing youve been doing over the semester, the selection of work and reflection on that work , by thinking and writing about what your work represents about you as a writer / reader after you have revised and compiled your chosen pieces.

2. Reynolds and Rice ask: What word or phrase best describes your work in this course? What are some overarching metaphors that could symbolize your work and your efforts in the course that you might use? Think of three possibilities. Growth: through this semester, it could clearly see my writing growth. Revised. Writing.

3. The reflective writing you do in your portfolio is some of your most important writing of the course. As Reynolds and Rice note, Reflective components show your ability to be a reflective learner and to analyze a rhetorical situation effectively. They explain your choices in compiling the portfolio and demonstrate your thinking about your learning. After reading Reynoldss and Rices section on Preparing to Write the Introduction, what do you know about reflective work that you did not know before? What is its purpose? Reflection can take place throughout portfolio keeping experience, but at some point it is important to make the reflection more formal. There have two types of reflection, an introduction to the portfolio and short piece that introduce each artifact.

4. Give Reynoldss and Rices definition of Revising, Editing, and Proofreading. Use quotation marks to indicate your direct quote. Then, list some strategies you will use to do each of these activities. To revise literally means to see again The idea is to view your writing differently, from a different angle or through a different lens.

Editing is another part of the writing process that you should b able to do independently although you also will benefit from the fresh eyes of other readers who may catch lapses in syntax or usage that you do not see. It is time for proofreading after you have revised and edited a text many times and your best judgment says that the test is finished, or you have simply reached a deadline for delivering the piece to others. From my point of view, revising is the most challenging task. I would like to entirely new introduction to set a different tone and add more examples. For proofreading, I would like to find mistakes and error through many times reading and errors are more difficult because I always do not recognize them as readily. For editing, I would like to add some keywords transitions or cut unnecessary repetition.

5. What questions do you have about this portfolio work you are about to do? I have a little confused about what is the purpose of the portfolio? Is this like review all the work we have done throw a semester? And do we need to write reflection after each elements?
