The Rapture Proposal Inquiry question When will the rapture happen in comparison to the end of the world?

? Primary Focus: To argue. I want to find evidence on when the rapture may occur, if at all, in terms of the events leading end of the world and Christs second coming. I hope to find evidence that supports why the rapture would occur and around what time during the events of Christs second coming. I also want to find out if the rapture will happen at all and the evidence of why it may or may not happen. I hope to argue for each idea and find support of each idea so that a conclusion can be drawn. Prior Knowledge: My prior knowledge consists of my study of the chapter of Revelation in the Bible, and other books and passages studied during my time of going to church. I know that the rapture is an event signaling the end of time where Christians are sent up to heaven with God to avoid the pain and suffering that is to come as the world comes to an end. I have also read the kids version of the Left Behind series, which follows the lives of a few teenagers after the rapture has occurred and they were not taken up to heaven. Beliefs, assumptions and stereotypes: The Christian religions have different beliefs in certain events such as the rapture. The Methodists dont believe in the rapture because they think it is not scriptural, or according to the bible. Other denominations do believe that the rapture will occur and have pulled certain scriptures that seem to point to this idea of the rapture. The rapture has been debated ever since the idea of the rapture was brought forth. Working Knowledge: As I looked online I found many sites posting scripture in support for the rapture and that it was biblical. However, the timing of the rapture is still unknown. Many theorize that it will happen before, the tribulation, or suffering of the Christians. Others believe it is after the tribulation. There is timeline showing the church age (what we are in now), the tribulation, and the millennium (life on earth after Christ comes and judges all man). I am interested in seeing the arguments to why and why not the rapture will occur before or after the tribulation. The website currently has an argument against post-tribulation and the pre-tribulation is the best thought of when the rapture will happen. I also was able to find a website that tries to disprove that the rapture will actually happen, saying that verses we taken out of context and that the rapture is just a theory from a person, and not from God. The rapture is a very controversial topic and therefore lots of ideas and studying has been done on it.

If need to expand: I can mention the past and future predictions of when the earth will end and when everyone was expected to be taken up in the rapture. If need to narrow: I can just discuss the time frame of when the rapture will occur and not go into the detail of why the rapture may not be true at all.
