Introduction
Thank you for purchasing a ColorPainter series ink jet printer. The CP_ManagerTM software controls the ColorPainter series (including display of printer status, setting changes, test printing, and maintenance). Before using the software and printer, carefully read the software instruction manual (this document) and the printer instruction manual. After reading the manuals, carefully store them so they can be accessed when needed. This document gives explanation taking the Color Painter W series as an example. Screenshots layout may vary somewhat for the Color Painter H series but basic operations are the same. Use this document as reference when operating these printers.

The CP_Manager software is designed to control the ColorPainter series and runs on Microsoft Windows.

Install CP_Manager
1-1 Start the setup screen
Insert the accompanying setup CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of the computer and run CP_Manager_Setup.exe in the CP_Manager folder.

The program group creation screen appears. Specify a location to create the program group and click Next to continue. (Note: To create the program group in a different location, click Browse... and then select a folder.)
Starting CP_Manager
From the computer desktop, double-click the CP_Manager shortcut icon. Alternatively, click Start, point to All Programs, CP_Manager, and then click CP_Manager.

Display mode
CP_Manager has 2 switchable display modes. Basic mode Advanced mode The mode usually recommended to users. The mode for the users requiring the advanced operations

CP_Manager is composed of two areas. (1) Printer status display area (2) Printer setting area Displays continuously the printer status. Used to change printer settings or perform maintenance.

Display a window to enter parameters for each color using an up/down box. Import information from a specified file for the current media preset information. Export the current media preset information to a specified file. Import information from a specified file for all media preset information. Export all media preset information to a specified file. Send all media preset information to the printer and update settings. Copy the parameters of the media preset with the specified number to the current preset parameters.

Change the language displayed in CP_Manager. Restart CP_Manager to apply the setting. Set a nickname for each printer. Displays the paths of the media information and log information save folders. Open the media information and log information save folders. Set each operation sound to On or Off. Displays the file name of the operation sound set. Play each operation sound set. Select each operation sound. Open the CP_Manager instruction manual.
