Fresh on the heels of the Operation Sandy rescue mission to assist animal victims of Hurricane Sandy, Prince Lorenzo Borghese and Royal Pet Club joined forces with Animal Aid USA to rescue 67 puppies and dogs, and one lucky cat during the Thanksgiving 2012 Animal Aid Caravan to rescue shelter animals in rural Georgia communities. NEW YORK, (PRWEB) November 28, 2012 November 28, 2012 Fresh off the heels of the Operation Sandy rescue mission to assist animal victims of Hurricane Sandy, Prince Lorenzo Borghese and Royal

Pet Club joined forces with Animal Aid USAfor the Thanksgiving 2012 Animal Aid
Caravan. The caravan makes the 1,600 mile trek every 30 days from New Jersey to Liberty County, Georgia to rescue shelter animals in rural Georgia communities. On this latest caravan mission, volunteers rescued 67 puppies and dogs, and one lucky cat, and delivered thousands of pounds of donated dog food and supplies to animals in need. Borghese combines his animal advocacy commitments with his Royal Pet Club product promotions by utilizing on-air appearances to raise awareness for animal rights causes. Royal Pet Club donates five percent of its profits, plus $2 for every new customer to Animal Aid USA. Animal Aid USA is a not-for-profit animal rights and rescue agency run completely by volunteers. These volunteers organize monthly caravans (12 per year) that take them from New Jersey to Georgia and back to save dogs at risk of being euthanized. Once the Animal Aids USA group arrives in Georgia, dogs rescued from high-kill shelters are transported to Miracle Ranch, Animal Aids quarantine and monthlong fostering facility. While at Miracle Ranch, rescued dogs receive the proper veterinary services necessary to make each one adoptable through the organization's participating network of veterinarians. Rescued dogs receive a host of health services including heartworm treatment, spay and neuter procedures and more. Each dog is then photographed and sent to Animal Aid USAs participating adoption partners.

During this most recent caravan, Animal Aid USA launched its Animal Aid

Club through a partnership with Folsom School in Folsom, New Jersey. The Animal
Aid Club offers an animal advocacy curriculum including a play written by Emmy Award-winning author and Animal Aid USA member Donna Swajeski. It also includes music written by Animal Aid USA member Melissa Pascoe. Through the theatrical performance, children learn the importance of pet adoption. In addition to hosting Swajeski's play, schools can participate by sponsoring rescued dogs in desperate need of homes.Through Folsom School the children sponsored 19 of the 67 dogs saved in the rescue effort. Their story will be aired on an upcoming episode of the television show Animal Rescue', an episode filmed and sponsored entirely by children supporting Animal Aid Club. To become a participating Animal Aid Club school, visit the Animal Aid

USA Club page for more information.

Animal Aid USA was founded in 2011 by Borghese and Karen Talbot LaSasso to save animals in jeopardy of being euthanized. Their strategy is to simply transport the supply to the demand. Moreover, raise awareness of legal cruelty performed daily against animals in the United States specifically the use of the gas chamber without sedation to euthanasia pets. Animal Aid USA's story made national headlines through its Amazing Grace Caravan which took place in July. The organization's Amazing Grace

caravan story will be the focus of The Ricki Lake Show on Friday November 30th.
Check local listings for air times. Animal Aid USA also provides information on free and low-cost spay and neuter programs nationwide. A portion of Royal Pet Clubs proceeds are specifically allocated to these programs through its Royal Fix Club. Borghese, the founder of Royal Pet Club and Royal Treatment pet products, is a vocal proponent of animal rights. He believes that providing spay and neuter services for free is one of the best ways to avoid dog overpopulation. If people would spay and neuter their pets, this would be a no-kill country and there would be no need to euthanize a dog because of over population, Borghese says. To euthanize mans best friend in order to control the dog population is simply barbaric, and the practice must be stopped. For that to happen, its essential that dogs be spayed and neutered. One unaltered female dog and her puppies can increase the dog population by 67,000 in only six years, according to PETA. For that reason, Borghese says, its important to spay and neuter. Royal Pet Club and Animal Aid together are leading the way. Borghese combines his animal advocacy commitments with his Royal Pet Club product promotions by utilizing his on-air appearances to raise awareness for
