Centaur Leadership Services at Prescott College is accepting session proposals for the 2013 Gathering on Equine-Assisted Learning and Mental Health Best Practices in Prescott, Arizona. We welcome committed professionals who wish to explore and develop the fields of Equine-Assisted/Facilitated Learning and Mental Health through sharing various models, techniques and approaches.
ABOUT THE GATHERING

The goal of the Gathering is to offer a professional platform for sharing, collaborating and presenting theoretical knowledge and experiences. Presentations in the past have included experiential as well as lecture-based sessions, with the option of incorporating equines. For our 10th anniversary we are expanding the Gathering to include international presenters.
ABOUT THE GATHERING SITE AND ACCOMMODATIONS

Chapel Rock, a northern Arizona conference and camp center, is situated on 20 acres of wooded land in Prescott. Attendees have the advantage of proximity to conveniences in town and the seclusion of an ideal natural environment. Tall Ponderosa pine trees, oaks, elms, and beautiful outcroppings of rocks characterize the rolling landscape of the center. Building facilities include sleeping quarters for up to 250 people. There are several options for accommodations, including hotel-style and bunk-style room arrangements. Meals will be provided by a professional cooking staff. The registration fee includes accommodations and all meals for the duration of the event, attendees choose sleeping arrangements that suit them best. Presenters receive a $150 discount on the option they choose. ABOUT PRESCOTT COLLEGE

Prescott College offers a residential undergraduate program at its main campus in Prescott, Arizona, as well as limited-residency bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees. All programs emphasize experience-based learning-by-doing; environmental and cultural awareness; and social justice. Equine-Assisted Mental Health and Learning courses are offered at every level of study. The graduate program in Education offers students the possibility to focus on Equine-Assisted Learning, and the graduate program in Counseling Psychology prepares students for licensure or certification in their home state as mental health professionals with the option of a concentration in Equine-Assisted Mental Health. Additionally, Post-masters certificates in both Equine-

ABOUT THE PROPOSAL PROCESS

What you can expect from us: Confirmation of session acceptance no more than two weeks after the proposal deadline. Updates regarding registration, including Gathering program and schedule changes, etc. A well-managed on-site experience to create an environment that enables you to provide a high-quality presentation and learning experience. Evaluation and feedback from workshop participants, including an opportunity to provide feedback to us about the process. A place at the Gathering where you can display materials to relevant to your practice or program. What we expect from presenters: To submit no more than two session proposals. To be able to present sessions in any program time slot on any day of the Gathering. To present the session that has been approved by the review committee. To respond in a timely manner if we need to contact you regarding your presentation. To provide a copy of hand-outs for your session to us by April 26, 2013. To include experiential learning opportunities in your session when applicable.
