Innovation Spaces Parent Survey, December 2012

Parents of students involved in the Innovation Spaces classrooms were asked about their experiences. Students communicate with their parents about the exciting lessons and activities using the technology including the iPads, netbooks and document cameras. From such responses, parents are enthusiastic about the opportunities the technology provides their children.

Notable Comments: My son talks about the Netbooks and iPads that they use in the classroom all the times. He really likes to use the technology to learn and practice Math/Science skills as well as for research. My daughter talks often about the different activities she is involved in. Technology activities are what she most often brings up in conversation. She has a sister who is also in a technology classroom and they often talk about it together. We often go to websites she has used in class. She says that she often plays educational games for math and science skills on the iPad. She also says that she helps her fellow students in using their iPads in the classroom. My child comes home everyday asking to show us what she has learned and then just takes the technology in her hand and uses it to our amazement. This, to me is the one most innovative and successful thing the district could do that will put our kids ahead of all others and make us one of the if not THE premier school district in the country!
