In this paper explores the ways in how are shaming practices employed on Black female sexuality within hip-hop culture. It also look at how notions of sexuality present within hip-hop manifest themselves within the lives of hiphop generationers and the generation of mainstream hip-hop.

>56 INTIATIVE FOUNDER Fall 2012-Present >56 this a program initiative to improve the graduation and retention rates of Black/African-American students at Michigan State University. The most recent graduate rate report, released earlier this Fall, noted that o ne average 56% of Black students graduated in a period of six years. This is significantly lower than the 76% six year graduation rate for the overall population. There are 5 key components of >56 which seek to address academic achievement, community engagement, academic preparation, financial assistance, and celebration of academic success.
