COMPANY PROFILE
Crescent Hospital Crescent Hospital was inaugurated on 1st of May 1997 under the auspices of Crescent Medical Centre Ltd. The birth of this Hospital marked the beginning of a new era of professional health care in the history of Alathur. The population of the thaluk, totaling around 4 Lakhs, had the opportunity, for the first time, to seek expert medical opinion and efficient treatment for their ailments in their own locality. Crescent Hospital started with an in-patient capacity of 50 beds and 11 doctors. The overwhelming response from the common public compelled us to increase the bed strength to 100 within 3 months and to 150 within a year. Through the years, crescent hospital has improvised a lot, both in quantity and quality, with its arduous service and sheer dedication. Today, the hospital has an inpatient capacity of 300 beds, 25 doctors, and over 300 paramedics working 24 hours to serve the patients and improve the health of the public. Crescent College Of Nursing The school of Nursing that started in January 2001 constitutes a glaring example of the well planned and efficiently executed service oriented schemes of Crescent Medical Center Ltd. The School of Nursing has helped in creating awareness among the general public about the necessity for quality nursing education. The school offers the 3.5-year General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course recognized by the Indian Nursing council and Kerala Nursing Council. The institution is an affiliate under the Calicut University. With an annual intake of 20 students, who are from various parts of Kerala, the School has all the facilities like Labs, Library and Hostel for students as per stipulations of Kerala Nursing council and Indian Nursing Council. Well-qualified and experienced principal and

teaching staff are employed to impart training at the school. The professional and academic standards of the Crescent School of Nursing is noteworthy and the entire first batch of GNM students of the School passed out with flying colors- the only institution in the District to obtain 100% results that year. MISSION & VISION A hospital was such a need in the locality that 90% of people who suffered from even minor ailments, had to travel at least 50 Kms to procure primary care. The National High Way on an entire length of 110 Kms between Coimbatore and Thrissur, didnt have a single hospital where emergency trauma care could be availed. The region had witnessed through years a number of incidents of road traffic accident victims dying on their way to hospital just because they couldnt get emergency medical care at the right time. It was under these dismal circumstances that Crescent Medical Centre Ltd., came forward and put forth the trend-setting path in health care by establishing a Centre capable of providing excellent and immediate modern medical treatment. The promoters of this noble venture include a group of motivated people for whom this land is their hometown and the inhabitants are their friends and relatives. So, to alleviate the tragic grievances of the people around them was deemed as their God ordained duty towards the community. Rather than monetary benefit, the prime motive behind this humane effort was to lend a helping hand to the society to alleviate their suffering and hardships. It is with this motive that CMC set forth its motto as 'Service to Humanity is Service to the Almighty'

NEED OF SYSTEM
In hospital management patient management and its data is more important. In this data arrange and store in proper way for long time. Its some needs are as under.

This program is developed to make easy the routine work. Easy to find data or information. Save lot of manpower and time. System covers large number of people and try minimize data redundancy. In this system process of summary report is main part, using the computerized system. This process is become simple and small; you can immediately getting the report for the query. This system provides interaction user friendliness and also less paper work.

PROJECT SCOPE AND LIMITATION

Project scope :-

Patient management of general O.P.D. in Cresent Medical Center, Alathur In this you also stored patients report and you study on the specific disease. We manage pharmacy department, general O.P.D. , and patient management system. Combine we will that three department through the server connection that use for without paperwork we done every process easily. Project limitation :-

Data store 25 years only. In this system patient id is more impotent and without it cant manage this system.

EXITING SYSTEM
The existing system is computerized system. It is not fully computerized system. Most allies are done manually in Hospital Management system. All reports are done manually. Information about patient is recorded computerized but in that many problems. Data redundancy is more and data and information are not arranges in proper structure and way. All information is difficult to remember to doctor about patients. Manually reports or other document are not save long time. Work load is more. Report and data searching problems. In use more manpower and time.

DISADVANTAGES OF EXITING SYSTEM

Work load is more.

Waste time, money, manpower.

Many problems in find proper data or information.

In many chances lost information and reports.

PROPOSED SYSTEM

In this hospital computerized system running. Therefore we give them proposal to convert it into fully computerized system that use for searching data. In this we manage three department Registration systems, General O.P.D. , and Pharmacy department we combine that three department through the server. Without paper work we have done every process. So it is very speedily and easy to reporting. In this proposed system we connecting receptionist and doctor with help of server.

Patients first go for case registration and registration his info and take one token. Then patient take doctor treatment and prescription. Patient will take all prescription.

That after patient takes some medicine and all reports.

FEASIBILITY STUDY

There are four types of feasibility .operational feasibility, technical feasibility, economical feasibility, schedule feasibility. New system feasibility given below: 1. Operational Feasibility: The new system aim is save manpower with minimize data redundancy and data arrange in proper way. Proposed system is useful to searching data so, it is user friendly. System will not require any training. If you need any help related system then we will provided guidance and help only. The system will be comfortable for both user and patients. 2. Technical Feasibility: Patient data and information is important in any hospital. Hospital is easy to purchase entire system requirements. The system will be operationally comfortable for the company. 3. Economical Feasibility: The company is capable to requirement of proposed system. Its advantages is more and helpful in improve profit. The system will be economical feasible for the company 4. Schedule Feasibility: Time is the most effective factor while making a project or system. The project should be finished within the assigned time.

CONCLUSION
Using a manual system of filing and file maintenance is impractical in todays world where the number of cases is increasing in geometric progression. So a computerised registration system is very much essential. By implementing this Hospital management system all the issues with data redundancies and data losses can be avoided to a great extend. Effective utilisation of this system will also help in reducing the manpower and space utilisation for filing and file storage.
