Alpha Lubricator System

Since spring 2000 we have delivered approximately 40 engines with Alpha Lubricators in Korea. Through the feed back from our Operation Engineers we have updated the design of many parts of the system. At the end of year 2000 the system was considered "matured", but still engine manufacture is of the opinion that the commissioning work is to big. As a consequence it was agreed in February 2001 to make a major update with the purpose of reducing the installation/commissioning work for the engine builder/shipyard.

1) New software version 2.01 finished. Up dated for known / reported failures. Adjusting features via HMI integrated in the new software MCU, BCU,SBU units to be installed in one cabinet. Ready for production Ultimo 2001 / Beginning 2002 Commissioning parameters to be entered through the HMI panel. Ready with release of new software version 2.01 November 2001. New PCB (printed circuit board) in the intermediate box. Ready for production November 2001. Elimination of need for Kistler pressure measurement during commisioning. Ready with release of new software version 2.01 November 2001.

Timing check.
Engine is turned untill first piston ring can be seen in the lubricator hole. Angel in HMI panel or on flywheel is cheked with angel specified in the setup file.
