Learnings:
Our first day of duty in Magalalag had been productive. Our first day was spent first by knowing the community we will be staying at. We discussed about its name history, the spot map of the barangay and its barangay officials. After that, together with the fourth years, we discussed and recalled basic thing to know about Community Health Nursing, its goals and objectives. We also discussed briefly about Primary Health Care. We were then asked by our clinical instructor to implement a health education the next duty. Our group immediately planned for the activity. We discussed what to bring and what to do during the health education. We also planned what we will cook for our lunch the next duty. The cooperativeness of our group had made the preparation quite successful. Our second duty had been very enjoyable even though Im anxious at first because all the pressure was on me since Im the team leader. My feeling of anxiousness had been mixed by my feeling of nervousness because its my second time to do health education to preschoolers and I know that their focus span is really very short and that made my first, failed. But then, with the active participation and support of my group mates, the activity had been successful. We health educate the preschoolers about the importance of good nutrition. We let them watch videos about Nutrition and color pictures of fruits. It is really important that we should impart to them our knowledge about good nutrition at an early age for them to apply it immediately. This activity had taught me that as nurses, we should have the capability to talk to different group of clientele for us to become really an advocate of health. After that activity, it eventually boosted my self-esteem and it also improved my leadership skills. It is really important to have that sense of responsibility if they have assigned task to you so that it will be successful. The second day of duty had been great for me and for all of us. Our last day of duty had also been productive and it was mainly focused to the completion of data for our case presentation. The active participation of our group and the cooperativeness of our clientele had made the activity successful. This activity had thought me that good communication skills and building rapport were important skills that an effective nurse must developed. They were the main foundations to make you an effective nurse.

My exposure in the Community had taught me things that would soon help me with my future career as a Nurse.
