What are the effects of Prostitution on society?

Research Proposal: The aim of this research is to find out the effects of prostitution on a particular society. In this research we cover the all aspects of prostitution that affected a society. In this research we will mostly discuss the issues, causes, effects and some other problems which have based of prostitution. Prostitution has a large impact on society. We will also discuss the anti prostitutions sectors or organizations. Our research will tells about prostitution in Pakistani society and effected areas like effects on male and female student, effects on unemployment. That how prostitution is effects on our education of young, jobs of the people. We will also discuss the factors which influence the women towards prostitutions. In simple cusses of prostitution that why women suggest this way. Here, we conduct some interviews from different types of people in different areas. In which we discuss the reasons of prostitution, effects on society and some others aspects related with prostitution. We will also cover the role of

Here we have some interesting questions related to prostitution. Like is prostitution is always wrong? Why women become a prostitute? The starting age of prostitution? Etc. Introduction: Prostitution: The one's act of offering herself to engage in sexual relations for money, or any other means. It is an exchange of money for sexual purpose or it is an act of sexual intercourse in change for money. The definition can also include the fact that it is performance of any kind of sexual acts for money. The legal definition is the sale of sexual services which include sexual acts not amounting to copulation and intercourse. No one entirely understands the number of prostitutes on the streets of Pakistani cities. Prostitutes wear their veils loosely over their heads in a style that passes for risque in this strictly regulated society. Mostly they are found at traffic stops for making their deal and finding their customers over there. If all family have prostitute by profession so the society called them kanjar khandaan. The kanjar khandaan has divided into three main categories. First one is called musician. Musician homes female are just making mujras. They are just performing functions. They charge thousand of money for a single function. They do not do sex as general. The second category is called muhajir. They are very poor. So, because of poverty they suggest the path of prostitution. The third category is called payshawer (professionals). They just do sex for money. The pimps searching female child and lock after of them. When they become young than pimps used them as a prostitute for earning. There is also a sale and purchase of prostitutes among the pimps. Some parents are selling his own daughter to pimps for money in the age when they are child. The women are mostly young.

According to the survey of Pakistani TV channel the number of prostitute in the country is going towards increasing. Pimps charge money on the bases of age, beauty, race and other factors. Virginity is also effect the rate of prostitute. Round about 2% of the woman population is prostitute in Asia and in United States. Large percent of men paying for sex. Some effective points about prostitution.

Prostitution is the world oldest profession. It existed across culture and times. Majority of prostitutes are women. Male homosexual prostitution has also existed alongside female heterosexual prostitution. Prostitution is for economic and monetary reasons. Young girls are sold or forced in order to support families. The industry of prostitution is secret. In all over the world child prostitution is a big issue. Murder is also ones influence towards prostitution. Arrange marriage is one of the big reasons of prostitution. Forced prostitution happens across the world especially in the developing countries. Repeated rape lead to prostitution. Prostitute uses special gestures to his or her customers.

They called aunty to her female pimp and mamu to her male pimp. Prostitutes protect their customers by police. Every type of people will visit to the secret markets of prostitute. ( like police, ministers, labor etc).

Some people give her abuses after usage. Mostly prostitutes are unhappy by their profession. In Pakistan people are called call girl to prostitutes. Prostitution creates crimes in many societies. In many region of the country foreign movies create prostitution. Telecommunication is also one reason of prostitution. It promoting alcohol and drug problems. Pimps also use prostituted women in credit card fraud.

About Pakistani prostitutes: In the city of Lahore Pakistan recite (repeat aloud from memory in front of an audience) secretes. Diamond market is located in Lahore. It is open only for two hours every night. During these hours the police officers did a blind eye over the market to the activities to be going on. The ladies who work here take the place for men to enjoy music and dance. The women are dance for only two hours daily. After the fix time they could not do anything more. But others offer service any time. Most prostitutes have their own apartment in the diamond market. They have windows

to the market side in which they offer services and find their customers. In Pakistan where there is majority of residence a Muslims and modesty is the path of their faith. There has large business offices and have large malls while on other side the women are singing and dancing with music. The city has a large population. We can see different types of women here. Some are in covered dress while some are in jeans and tee shirts. You cannot point out the prostitutes and local ladies. Because even prostitutes covered their face when they leave their homes. According to the words of one prostitute the politician done a blind eye to the activities going on here and the police highly and happily accept the bribes to stay silence. The time is start from 9 pm to 12 pm for working and searching their customers. Prostitutes are mostly poor before the joining of this profession. They are unhappy and dissatisfy with their profession. The young prostitute also uses intoxicants. They also dress up their daughters when they are performing in their homes. The cruelty also leads women toward prostitution. Some prostitutes are married but after cruelty they suggest the path of prostitution. Prostitutes have a proud to be a Muslims and they stop working in Ramadan and also in the whole month of muharam. They prey to Allah and ask for forgiveness to this thing. They ask to Allah that they have no choice other than prostitution for living. Some prostitutes are also performing a five time prayer. Prostitutes discourage every woman to this field.

Type of Prostitutes:

Street: They searching their clients in streets, parks and public places. Provide services inside Street. Brothel: they provide sex in better security than street. Often licensed by authorities. Escort: searching their clients by phone or through hotel staff. It is relatively expensive. Service provided at clients home or hotel room. Private: they also contact with their customers by phone. It has a high cost also because they provide services by the well of his customers. Window or doorway: Brothels with sex workers on public display. Windows preferred in cold climates, doorways in warmer places. Club, bar, stripper halls: they provide services on site. Example sea site, Beach etc. Other all-male venues: they searching their clients at barbershops, bathhouses, saunas (a small room used as a hot air or steam bath for cleaning and refreshing the body) and mining camps. Serviced on site or elsewhere Door knock or hotel: they searching their customers at hotel rooms and boarding houses and offer services as they found their customers. Transport (ship, truck, train): they finding their clients in traveling vehicles to serve passengers. CB radio: they finding drivers as a client and providing services at truck shops or parking. Health and Safety issues: In 1980s, the patient of HIV was found in Kenya. And then condom is introduced for the sex workers. This disease is started in the polygyny spouse (the practice of having more than one spouse at the same time).

Literature review:

According to max waltman et al. (2010) sex is prohibited in Sweden. In his paper he analyzes the main reasons for the Swedish law from 1999 in which sex purchaser will be a criminal and decriminalize the prostituted person. The paper comparing data with other relevant countries. It finds that the occurrence of prostitution is manifold to its neighboring countries. Finally, with full potential prostitution is more efficiently, argued to the civil rights of prostituted persons. According to the New Zealand Law Review Committee (2003).Violence in prostitution continued after prostitution was decriminalized in New Zealand. According to Melissa & Farley (2005) indoor prostitution is the social invisibility. Indoor prostitution is safe so there will be the lack of evidence. Harry Reid (2008).according to his research prostitution is the legal approach. By his research prostitution is available everywhere in the world. Men, women, and transgendered are decriminalized. Pimps and traffickers (buyers) should be criminalized. Tahoe-Reno (2009). I met with a group of professionals who run data centre. They visited city to see the facility opening and offer jobs here. The city has an industrial centre. But one businessman during discussion with me told me that we just searching a home for legal prostitution. I have talked to families about this profession which is offering in the city. But there is no family against it. They consider it a new idea not old profession. They consider it the legal profession and attract people back to work; the time has come for us to outlaw prostitution. Janine Benedet (2009). Supporter of the prostitution industry and consider it will be safe to purchase sex is legalized. They are claiming that prostitution is women's job and it would advance women's liberty. Opposition is dismissed as based on an uncontrollable.

Research, programs, and legislation related to sex buying are often the invisibility of the male buyer and the failure to address mens role in buying and abusing women in prostitution. Governments, UN agencies, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), and others act as if the male demand for sex. The researcher finds out the demand, and meaning of prostitution and the myths that rationalize why men buy women in prostitution, qualitative information. Gunilla Ekberg (2004). Initiated the Swedish womens movement, the Law That Prohibits the Purchase of Sexual Services came into force on January 1, 1999. The Law is the first root cause of prostitution, the demand, the men who assume the right to purchase persons for prostitution purposes. In combination with public education, awareness-raising campaigns, and victim support, the Law and other legislation establish a policy for prostitution in human beings. Esohe Aghatise (2004). This article gives an overview of the problem of trafficking for prostitution in Italy and notes different trafficking dynamics according to countries of origin of the victims. It examines changes in trafficking patterns, various activities carried out by the Italian government and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) to assist victims, the Italian legal framework used to combat trafficking, and the recent government proposal to legalize brothels. In conclusion, the article suggests strategies to combat prostitution and trafficking. The main emphasis is on the trafficking of Nigerian women and girls to Italy. In the debate about prostitution, there are those, like the Dutch, who advocate legalizing it, and those, like the Swedes, who want to get women off the streets by cracking down on customers and pimps. Julie Bindel investigates the current debate in the U.K. Julie Bindel (2004).

Janice Raymond (2003). Discussion of ways that legalized or decriminalized prostitution promotes trafficking expands both legal and illegal prostitution, and fails to promote women's health or make them any safer. In 1990 the Catharine MacKinnon and Catharine MacKinnon find out the gap between the promise of civil rights and the real lives of prostitutes are an abyss which swallows up prostituted women. This article discusses the lack of civil rights among those prostituted, and discusses some legal remedies.

Discussion Questions: Is prostitution is always wrong? According to Religious point of view prostitution is sin and every sin is wrong. But if we look to the other side from Islam there has a long debate on this topic. So now we talk beside religion then there has two way of the topic. If we talk on medical point of view it is wrong because of some harmful diseases. But if we talk ethically then somehow it is not always wrong because look at our society where there is no jobs, high inflation, where poor people cannot even eat food. Than in that case if a woman is selling her body to earn for her and her familys food. So who the hell are we to call it wrong. If we cant solve their problem ethically than we dont have right to claim that their work is unethical. Why women become a prostitute? There are so many reasons which varies and depend upon prostitutes. Some are of poverty base. Some are by force; some are habitual, family status, etc

What is the starting age of prostitutes? It is also depend upon the area, family status, poverty and some other factors. But age is very important factor related with price with prostitution professional. Virginity is also related with price of the job. Because of the demand in the market. The pimps charge thousand of money of the virgin Girl. As the age of the woman is increasing the price is going to decreasing and vice versa. Where does prostitute stay? Some Prostitutes have their own homes but some are live with their pimps. Some are stay with their customers home. The prostitutes stay is depend upon the price, experience in the field, and also on the celebrity. Is pimps are necessary with prostitutes? Pimps are not as much necessary with prostitutes for providing services. Many prostitutes are working independently because there is a large margin to working without pimps. Most prostitutes are at the start of the profession join trafficking and after some time when she made their customers in the market than she leave and start working according to her choice. Conclusion: Pakistan is Muslim country and we feel proud to be a Muslim. The only diamond market which is commonly known as Heera Mandi of Lahore is hited for prostitution but the truth is not this. In the every city of Pakistan there has prostitution. Even also in the urban areas of Pakistan. According to our research and the interviews which we had taken the reason back of prostitution is poverty in large quantity. There are also many reasons like cruelty, rape, buying of child,

arrange marriage, unemployment, illiteracy, inflation, some are forced by his husband, some are professional of this job etc. some prostitutes have prude of his profession while some are unhappy by their profession. Every One in the society hate the field of prostitution, and the people which are directly or indirectly related to the field were not happy but still this is a fact that prostitution is going very rapidly in our society. Sweden has a very good law about prostitution that you can sell the sex but you cannot buy the sex. So according to our point of view it is the best law that can be apply in any country.
