Oragadum K LakshmiNrisimhaachariar Swamin Sri Chellapillai Kidambi Oragadum LakshmiNrisimhachariar Swami affectionately known as Dorai is a Veda Pundit and Vidwan of repute. He is the son of Late Sri U.Ve.P.Krishnamachariar Swami who was known for the services rendered as Pradhana Archaka for over 5 decades at Sri Ahobila Devasthanam, Allagadda. Sri Nrisimhaachariar Swamin is associated with Sri Ahobila Mutt and has served the 44th and 45th Srimad Azhagiyashingars of Sri Ahobila Mutt and received acclaim. A product of Maduranthakam Veda Divya Prabhandha Shastra Kalasala, he has mastered the Krishna-Yajur Vedam, Kramantam, Kavya-Natakantham, Sri Dhesika Sri Sookthis Bhagavad Vishyam and Naalayira Divya-Prabhandham. Till recently he served as the Principal of Sri Ahobila Mutt Veda, Divya Prabhandha Shastra Paatashala, Selayur with the benign blessings of Srimad Azhagiyashingars. Owing to his passion for teaching Vedam and Shaastras the Srimad Periya Azhagiyashingar entrusted him with the task of running the Veda Paatashala at Sri Ahobila Mutt, Ahobilam which he has carried out to this day.He has conducted a number of courses and imparted Divya-Prabhandham and Upayuktha Vedam and Anhneekam to hundreds of Sri Vaishnavates . He has taught Naalayira Divya Prabhandham and Sri Desika Stotrams to many people who have in turn after completion of classes are now teaching others. He has the credit of delivering discourses on Srimad Raamaayanam, Alwazhargal Arulcheyal, Thiruppavai and Bhagavadh Vishayam in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai. Swami is well versed in Aagama Shastra and has performed Samprokshanam in more than 25 temples. He is recipient of various awards and titles, the most noteworthy among them being the titles Satsampradaya Pravartaka Vishaksana,conferred by Srimad Paravakottai Andavan of Poundareekapuram Andavan Aashramam; Divya Prabhanda Ratnam and UbhayaVeda Vidwanmani conferred by Srimad Mukkor AzhagiyaShingar, Vaakvarshi title conferred at Mannargudi; Soll-Aruvi conferred by Kamban Kazhagam, Coimbatore, Vaishnava Simham , a doctorate conferred by Sri Aanjaneya Aashramam, Selam, Veda Ratnam,a title conferred by Sri Sankarachariar of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham,Aanmika Ratnam a title given by Sri Travels Chennai. Swami is regularly invited by Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam for giving commentary during the Veedhi Purappadu at Tirumala and Tirupathi. Swami is also a Endowment Lecturer at Madras University. He is also well known for the flair with which he delivers commentaries about the Sthala Purana during Yaatras to Divya Desams like Badrinath, Mukthinath and Pancha Dwaraka. He is regularly seen on the popular TV channels like Jaya, Shankara, Mega, Vasanth, Sun and Podigai to deliver lectures on the 108 Divya Desams. Swami is an erudite scholar in the Vedas, Upanishads, and Azhwar- Divya Prabhandhams & Puranas etc. Swami quotes eloquently from various scriptures in his discourses.
