(Step-by-step instructions)
We welcome the opportunity to evaluate your application to become an HP Self-Maintainer. To expedite the evaluation process, please ensure that all required information is completed properly. 1. Ensure that your organization meets all the Self-Maintainer program requirements. For more information, please review the HP Self-Maintainer Program Information. Complete the following Contract Administration processes: a. Read the Self-Maintainer Program Information and choose the Self-Maintainer Program Tier that is right for you. Then click on submit

Read the Terms & Conditions of the Self-Maintainer Agreement. Provide the required information and click on I accept when ready to accept the Terms & Conditions of the Self-Maintainer Agreement. Then click on submit. Notes: Submissions are online only, you do not need to print and sign the Self-Maintainer Agreement. Please take note of your SM Application number for future reference.

Complete all the required information in the Customer Application form page. 1. Complete all required fields (*) under general information tab 2. Complete all required fields (*) under contact tab 3. Complete all required fields (*) under credit tab Note: Your organization must submit to HP the appropriate sales tax exemption certificate for the type of exemption your organization is entitled to receive. Submit the test scores for accredited technicians. Submit test score on Exam # HP2-H08 if servicing HP Desktops, Workstations and Notebooks Submit test score on Exam # HP2-T17 if servicing HP ProLiant Servers. Submit test score on Exam # HP2-037 if servicing HP LaserJet products. Submit test score on Exam # HP2-B11 if servicing HP Designjet products. Note: For self-maintainer technicians to qualify for repair on these products, the individual must complete the HP Accredited Platform Specialist (APS) core technology exams on products that the self-maintainer supports. Printing and imaging products require additional model-specific training and/or testing.

Register on the HP Partner Portal (www.hp.com/partners/us) Log in to HP Partner Portal using your user id and password Choose the Train & certify link on the left menu. The first time you visit the Train & certify section, you will be asked to request access to The Learning Center. When prompted regarding a previous student history with HP. Learners who held a prior Student ID should answer Yes. New students who have not completed HP training or certification will choose No.

Agree to the Terms and Conditions by checking both boxes indicating your agreement and select Submit Choose the option to access The Learning Center Browse the available Service Qualifications The qualification name includes the products included in that credential. Review the list to determine which qualification you would like to achieve. To view the requirements, choose the qualification covering the product you will be supporting. Note: The qualification page will include an information section that describes the requirements and any special notes. Some qualifications offer more than one path. Choose the path drop-down to view the various paths. Choosing a different path refreshes the page to show the requirements for that path. Note: This initial requirement applies only if end-user customer owns and operates such products and has plans to perform hardware repair service on such products. 4. Self-maintenance applicants must fax all the completed forms and required documents (Purchase Order, HP Channel Support Network Request Form and Purchasing information) to: HEWLETT-PACKARD COMPANY Attention: Self-Maintainer Program Fax Number: 866-812-2805 5. Your application will be submitted to HP Credit for review. Your company must qualify for $10,000 credit line and may be contacted by Business Center Operations if additional financial information is needed. After the self-maintainer application process, you will receive a welcome kit that consists of CSN log in information, SM Program Guide, list of HP program resources and a letter with the information referenced in item 7. A Self-Maintainer Dealer ID, Location ID (replacing Outlet ID) and CRS Sold-to and Ship-to ID will be assigned and communicated to you by the HP Contract Administrator. Please direct all questions to the SM Help Desk at 1-800-544-9976. You will be prompted to speak or enter your Dealer ID, Outlet ID number or Learner ID number. If you do not have an ID, please say no ID.

If you said No ID, please say Self-Maintainer at the next prompt If you entered your Dealer ID, Outlet ID or Learner ID, please say Business Center Operations and then SelfMaintainer. You may also email us at selfmaintainersupport@hp.com

Note: An incomplete application packet will not be processed by the Self-Maintainer Program Authorization Department.
