Long, long ago, fireflies could sing beautiful songs. Their songs could be heard all

over the land. Everyone loved listening to the lovely sound of the fireflies singing. Then, one day, the fireflies heard geese honking. They thought that sounded much better. They tried and tried to honk like geese. They never could make the right sound, though. Finally, they gave up. It was, however, too late. All of the fireflies had forgotten how to sing.
