But I wanted to build a skateboard ramp. Mike said it was a silly idea. He always thinks hes right because he is the oldest, and Johnny goes along with him because hes the baby. They always tell me, Paulina, go inside with Mom and play with your dolls and makeup! They are so mean!

Listen to a passage about a soccer team. You will answer questions 4 through 5 based on this passage.

(Woman):

Maricels soccer team, the Coques, is playing an important game today. If they win this game, they will play in the championship game next month in San Juan. Maricel is nervous because she is the goalie. She is a good goalie, but she knows she has to be the best today. As the game begins, Maricel sees that her best friend, Eva, is lead player for the other team. This makes her really nervous! Maricel and Eva are like two peas in a pod. How can she defeat her best friend? She decides that she must, so she guards the goal very carefully. When the other team kicks a ball toward her, she blocks it with her hands or kicks it back the other way. In the second half of the game, with only five minutes to go, the score is 3 to 1 in the other teams favor. Maricels team scores two goals. Now the score is tied. Then Maricels friend Eva kicks the ball toward her teams goal. She kicks it hard, and Maricel has to work hard to block the ball. She does so, and now her team has a chance to win! They kick the ball back and forth toward their goal. Finally, Maricels team scores and wins the game. Now the Coques will have a chance to win the championship! When the game is over, the players on each team pass by one another, and they all shake hands. Maricel and Eva smile at one another as they do so. Eva congratulates her friend on a game well played.
