Before I was born, my parents knew that my name is Arlina Binti Arshad, they had picked that name before my mum even pregnant. My whole family was hoping for a baby girl because they already raised a tomboyish daughter and three mischievous rascals which were my brothers. On 19th July 1991, I was born at Klinik Shambi, Kuala Lumpur, or my mother called it, the day where God gave them the special gift. Currently, I am living in Subang Jaya, Selangor. The real me was portrayed when I joined Mara Junior Science College (MJSC). When I was in my old school, I used to be a quiet girl who enjoyed reading books, invisible, unknown and only have small circle of friends. Things changed when I entered MJSC. Fortunately, the activities in MJSC such as language week (Minggu Bahasa) unleashed the real Arlina. After trying out for auditions, I realized that I have a knack in drama, but I can also be an excellent debater. Starting from that, I joined countless activities that require my skills such as, acting, debating, writing and many more. A lot of people asked me, why I want to be a doctor instead of any other jobs that require good command in English language since people see English language as my strength, my answer is simple, medicine is much more challenging and I love challenge, plus I get to learn about human, about me Therefore, I would really love to continue my study doing International Baccalaureate (IB) in Mara College Banting. I choose IB diploma, not A level or foundation because The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. Furthermore, IB has more subject and activities, thus it makes this course even more challenging.Even though there are few institutions offer IB but then, Mara College Banting had produced worlds best students in IB examination. In addition, their college life style is completely different from other colleges. Mara College Banting does not only stress on education but they strengthen our faith towards God by encourage the students pray together at surau, and other Islamic activities. Im sure there are no other colleges offer these kinds of life style. As for degree, the university that caught my attention is Queen Mary, University of London. Of course, after obtaining my degree I will pursue my career by being a hardworking and dedicated paediatric cardiac surgeon as that is my path that I choose to help people in my own ways, especially kids. I believe by being a doctor, Ill end up with a job that will make me appreciate life even more because as a doctor, definitely Ill encounter a person with no legs, cancer, or blind. Furthermore, I got to learn about our body, the miracles of science, and the perfection of Gods creation. Thus, it makes me closer to God even more. I will also get a job that more than just a job.
My name is Mohd Amirul bin Hamudin. I graduated my primary school from Sekolah Kebangsaan Serdang. I have excelled in my PMR with a result of flying colour in SMK Seri Serdang besides become an active student by joining fireman cadet, school teen cadet, badminton club, indoor games club and held an important position in some of the clubs. After that I moved to a new school, MRSM Tun Ghaffar Baba which is a boarding school in order to have a new experience an become a more independent person. In this new school I want to do something difference than myself in previous school, so I join election committee, silat cekak ustaz hanafi, naqib, badminton club and youth entrepreneur club. As a potential student when you give the opportunity, I will strive to be a tremendous asset to MARA by devoting all my time and life to becoming an excellent medical student. I believe that I

am obligated to use my talents in a constructive manner, in a manner that benefits society. The medical career gives me the unique opportunity to express my many talents while benefiting human life. This will improve the living style for peoples in our country as they can get better service regarding health matter. While I possess the strong science background necessary for success in the profession, I also consider myself a "people" person. As an active student in my previous school, I dramatically improved and expanded my communication skills since I was constantly meeting new people and discussing different topics. Because people constantly disclosed their personal issues related to religion to me as I was a naqib, I learned to become not only a good conversationalist, but also an excellent listener. Highly motivated to succeed, I dramatically improved my PNG from 3.01 to 3.50 in first semester of 2006. After that my PNG never lies below than 3.50. Once I realized what goal I wanted to pursue in life, I worked hard to succeed, and my remaining 1 and half a year of schooling are truly indicative of my intellectual capacity and motivation for success. My strength as a candidate to MARA scholarship lies mostly in the objectives that I plan to fulfill upon becoming a doctor. If I were given the chance to choose the place to further my study, it will be nice if MARA place me in KMB to do international baccalaureate. After that, I want to do medical course in IUMC Ireland. I have been diligent in my pursuit of medicine as a career because I am convinced that medicine offers me the opportunity to live in a fulfilling, rewarding life dedicated to helping others. I will enter medicine eager to learn and thirsting for the knowledge to help my fellow human being. Becoming one of the MARAs scholarships holder would be one of the greatest rewards for my motivation and persistence for success. I swear to uphold and exceed all that is expected of a future medicine student while promoting the progress of medicine and humanity. Therefore, I will help in make Malaysia becoming a develop country. After success in becoming a doctor, I want to work with the government because I want to help the shortage of doctor crisis in our country. Besides that, this is also an excellent way of learning as a new doctor, because in public hospital or clinic, I can meet with a large number of patient everyday. This will sharpen n strengthen my skill as a doctor. After a fe
