At Lend Lease, we work with communities, clients and our colleagues to create positive legacies from funding and managing projects and properties, right though to designing, developing and constructing state of the art precincts, buildings and infrastructure, including hospitals, roads and rail. We also create vibrant residential communities, productive workspaces and retail destinations.

OUR STORY

Companies must start justifying their worth to society, with greater emphasis placed on environmental and social impact rather than straight economics.
This approach to business underpins everything we touch, and can be seen in nearly everything we do the world over. Were not just in the business of property and infrastructure. Were in the business of creating positive legacies. For everybody involved our clients, partners, and the people living in or using our places and spaces every day. This is how we create a future built on sustainable practices and lasting relationships.

ONE HUNDRED FLOORS ONE MILLION STORIES

Dick Dusseldorp, Founder of Lend Lease, 1973. Every single member of our team believes in improving our environment, health and safety practices, making a difference to our communities and reducing our environmental impact. Tomorrow is an exciting chapter, beginning right now.

ON SAFETY

PUTTING OUR PEOPLE FIRST

We will never compromise on safety and continually drive best practice and innovation internally. We also recognise and reward those who are leading our journey towards being Incident & Injury Free. UNCOMPROMISING LEADERSHIP To make our Incident & Injury Free vision a reality, we rely not only on having strong safety operating disciplines, but also on the positive behaviours of our people. Our uncompromising leadership approach is embedded across the group. We behave and operate in a manner which ensures we never compromise on safety. SAFETY IN PERFORMANCE Since the introduction of our revised Global Minimum Requirements in 2007, safety performance has improved considerably. We can now see some positive trends including: Substantial decrease in the number of incidents involving fall of person. The circumstance most responsible for serious and fatal incidents. A year on year decrease in Lost Time Incident Frequency Rates (LTIFR) which means fewer injuries and greater productivity.

Lend Lease is committed to operating Incident & Injury Free wherever we have a presence. So its no surprise that safety is always front of mind in everything we do.

IT IS THE FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT OF EVERY HUMAN BEING TO WORK WITHOUT FEAR OF INJURY AND RETURN HOME SAFELY

Performance is our biggest motivator. And its measured in many forms.
Beyond a doubt, increases in nancial returns and asset values are critical to all stakeholders. We had a strong year in 2012 with operating prot after tax of A$507 million. We have maintained a strong nancial position which enables us to fund our development pipeline and invest in new strategic opportunities. Equally though, performance is about the talents of our people and what value and expertise they can offer our clients. OUR TEAM

INDIVIDUAL EFFORTS, UNITED FORCE

A particularly rewarding aspect of being an international company is witnessing the collaborative efforts of our people.
Our talented people bring their global experience to local communities all over the world. Outside our immediate team, we value our ongoing relationships with local communities and governing bodies. They demonstrate our spirit of open collaboration and show that a true team effort is hugely rewarding for everyone involved, having a tangible positive impact on our communities. BeOnsite, UK Were proud of our economically sustainable, not for prot organisation, BeOnsite in the UK. POSITIVE LEGACIES: SUSTAINABILITY

FROM OLD BUILDINGS TO GREEN BUILDINGS

Sustainability is woven into all of our projects, whether it is the creation of ground breaking, green buildings, or the refurbishment of existing buildings.
Incredibly, 80 per cent of the buildings that will exist in 2030 are already standing today, highlighting the critical importance of greening these old buildings to reduce their environmental impact for the future. 30 The Bond in Sydney, Australia is a shining example of environmental sustainability in a new building design. Incorporating features like natural ventilation, passive chilled beam cooling and fully operable shading on the facades, The Bond has lowered CO2 emissions by 30 per cent compared to typical ofce buildings. It was the rst ofce building in Australia to be accredited 5 stars As Built under the Australian Building Greenhouse Rating system. HM Treasury Building, Whitehall London involved a sensitive restoration of this 100 year-old famous building. We were responsible for the transformation, turning Victorian era corridors and cellular ofces into a 21st century ofce design, while staying true to the architectural heritage. Maximising space and energy efciency won this building a BREEAM Excellent rating, the UK green building certication.
