Presidents Paragraph
By Gene Walker My very special "THANKS" to all the elected board members for another tremendous year. First, thanks to Gary Kelley for providing all of us an exceptional newsletter and website. Gary also filled the Vice President position working with other chapters and the national organization, negotiating contracts for the road runs and covering for me when necessary. Next, thanks goes out to Tom Ruttan for his excellent accounting of our chapter's very important finances as Treasurer. Toms monthly reports are available at every meeting. Finally, Id like to thank our Secretary Shannon Kelley for keeping our membership up to date, handling club correspondence and her devoted efforts to make our annual road run a huge success. This year's $1,000,000.00 lottery winners are Jim & Rosie Singhose of Cottage Grove for their outstanding energy mapping out all 3 road routes. In addition we all enjoyed Jim's historical information at each stop. For 2012 all the Christmas cheers need to go to Tom and Cynthia Ruttan for hosting this year's party at their lovely home of 32 years. Eighteen of us indulged in all of the appetizers, snacks, and beverages until Tom opened up his immaculate 2-story workshop, completely full of motorcycles and tons of parts. After almost a full hour, Cynthia shooed us back into the house for dinner and desserts until we couldn't eat or talk any longer. We spent a delightful 3 hours together ending another wonderful year as an antique motorcycling group dedicated to helping others enjoy the sport.

Oregon Trail Chapter January 2013 Before we sat down to Dinner, Tom led us out to his new shop to see how it turned out. Here we see Tom discussing his current project with Scott and Gene. After the shop tour, we returned to the house for dinner. Gathered in the living room before dessert are Chuck, Stephanie, Norlene, Shannon, Karen, Kathy, Jackie and Gail.

Pictured below is our own Pete Peterson (#165y) on a 1946 Harley Davidson WR Pro race bike and his best friend Bill Brownell (#33) Motorcycle Hall of Fame and original member of the Booze Fighters MC club. Bill is riding a 1941 Indian Scout I believe they're at the Lodi track. They are fashioning English Cromwell helmets in 1952.
