ZEN SHIATSU THEORY Lesson 7: Hara Diagnosis After determining which is the most and points, these meridians

ns are worked on. One hand holds the hara, on the area, while the other works the meridian. If this doesn't release, try the reverse. If a sharp pain is experienced in the hara while diagnosing, this is usually a area. Hold hara pt. to tonify or sedate corresponding leg or arm meridian. If this doesn't change anything, hold the most pt. on the arm (or leg, which ever is most appropriate) and tonify the meridian there without placing a hand on the person's hara. Always concentrate and put your mind and consciousness into the hand that is in contact with the meridian or pt. In hara diagnosis, use leaning pressure, i.e., use your body weight. Your right hand fingers points toward the person's heart, your left is placed across your right. Then your right hand slips out from under your left. Press the diagnostic areas in a clockwise direction, for approximately 3 seconds at each area.
