respective churches, this being a holiday of obligation, it is but fitting and proper that we share our readings of the Holy Bible appropriate for the occasion. The Priestly Benediction The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, Thus you shall bless the Israelites: You shall say to them, The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace. So they shall put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them. (Numbers 6:22-27, NRSV) Pleasant Words Restated But when the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, in order to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as children. And because you are children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, Abba!Father! So you are no longer a slave but a child, and if a child then also an heir, through God. Keep us, O most loving father, all blight of error and corruption. Aid us from on high, most valiant defender in this conflict with the power of darkness. And even as of old you did rescue the Child Jesus from the snares of the enemy and from all adversity. Shield us ever under your patronage, that imitating your example and strengthened by your help, we may live a holy life, die a happy death and attain the everlasting bliss in heaven. Amen. (Pray 1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary and 1 Glory Be for your intentions) St. Joseph, our patron and protector, pray for us. (Our thanks to Gods Healing Foundation, through Fr. Nelson S. Osorio, OSJ, for a copy of this prayer)

Prayer to Saint Joseph To you Blessed Joseph, we have recourse in our afflictions, and having implored the help of your thrice Holy Spouse, we now with hearts filled with confidence earnestly beg you also to take us under your protection by that charity wherewith you were united to the Immaculate Virgin mother of God and by that fatherly love with which you did cherish the Child Jesus. We beseech you and we humbly pray that you would look down with gracious eyes upon the inheritance which Jesus Christ purchased
