The Papers in all the subjects will consist of objective


type questions only. The question papers (test booklets)
of mathematics and part "B" of General Ability Test will
be set bilingually in Hindi as well as English.
In the question papers, wherever necessary, questions
involving the metrics system of Weights and Measures
only will be set.
Candidates must write the papers in their own hand. In
no circumstances will they be allowed the help of a scribe
to write answers for them.
The Commission hae discretion to fix qualifying marks
in any or all the subjects at the examination.
The candidates are not permitted to use calculator or
Mathematical or logarithmic table for answering objective
type papers (Test Booklets). They should not therefore,
bring the same inside the Examination Hall.

Candidates may apply Online using the website http://

Salient Features of the system of Online Application Form
are given hereunder :
Detailed instructions for filling up Online applications
are available on the above mentioned website.

Candidates will be required to complete the On-line


application form containing two stages viz., Part-I and
Part-II as per the instructions available in the above
mentioned site through drop down menus.

The candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 50/(Rupees Fifty Only) [excepting SC/ST candidates who
are exempted from payment of fee] either by remitting
the money in any branch of SBI/SBB/SBH/SBM/SBP/
SBT by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI or
by using any Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.

Before start filling up on Online Application, a candidate


must have his photograph and signature duly scanned
in the png. frmat in such a manner that each file should
not excedd 40 KB each.

The Online applications (Part-I and II) can be filled


upto 21st January, 2013 till 11.59 p.m.

No interim correspondence will be entertained.


Canvassing in any form shall lead to automatic
disqualification.

Fulfilling minimum qualification does not entail a


call for interview. The applications received in
response to the advertisement shall be scrutinized
and only candidates shortlisted from valid
applicants, on the basis of better qualification and
quality of relevant experience, shall be called for
presentation/interview. In case the number of short
listed candidates is large, a written test may be
conducted to further prune the list of candidates
before the presentation/interview. The authorities
reserve all rights, not to call an applicant for interview,
without assigning any reason.

For the appointee to the position of Registrar, the


Board of Governors of the Institute, in the Institutes
interest, may decide at its discretion to assign
additional duties, besides the normal duties or
altogether different/new

from existing normal duties, without affecting the salary


and other facilities that the incumbent would be
getting at the time.
General Conditions:
1.

Relaxation in age would be admissible as per Central


Government Rules. Employees of IITs who are
educationally qualified and otherwise eligible can
be considered for the recruitment up to a maximum
age of 50 years.

The vacancies shown above are tentative and could vary

1. Eligibility :
(A) Nationality: A candidate must be a citizen of India.
(B) Educational Qualification & Experience : Bachelor
Degree in Economics or Statistics or Commerce from a
recognized University and three years experience in
collection/tabulation analysis of statistical data or research
in economic field in any organization.
(C) Desirable : Training in any branch of Statistics or
research in the field of Economics and knowledge of
computer applications.
2. Age : Not below 18 years and not above 30 years.
Relaxation : (SC/ST: 5 years.), (OBC: 3 years.), ( PH : 10
years.), (Ex-Serviceman : 3 years in addition to usual period
of service in the defense forces, subject to maximum age
of 50 years.) (Govt. Employees : 05 years.)
3. Selection Procedure:
(a) Selection will be on the basis of the performance in
personal interview. (b) The prescribed essential
qualifications are the minimum and the mere possession
of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for
interview. (c) If the number of applications received in
response to the advertisement is large and it will not be
convenient or possible for the KVIC to interview all the

candidates, the KVIC at their discretion may restrict the


number of candidates to a reasonable limit by any one or
more of the following method: i) On the basis of their
qualifications higher than the minimum prescribed in the
advertisement or ii) On the basis of the experience in the
relevant field or iii) By holding a screening test.The
candidate should therefore, mention all the qualifications
and details of experience in the relevant field over and
above the minimum qualifications and should attach
attested /self certified copies of the Certificates in support
thereof.
4. Appointment :The candidates selected will be posted
anywhere in India.

The selected candidates will have to work in the
preparation, characterization and evaluation of
RO/UF/NF and gas seperation membraners for
different applications.

limit is relaxable for 3 years for applicants belonging
