SeeInstallingandConfiguringNTPonVMwareESXServerintheVMwareknowledgebase.
InstallLab Managerserversoftwareonavirtualmachine. DonotinstalltheLab ManagerserversoftwareonaphysicalorvirtualmachinethatcontainsvCenter Serversoftware.IfyouhaveLab ManagerserverandvCenterServersoftwareinstalledinseparatevirtual machines,thesevirtualmachinescanresideonthesameESX/ESXihost. IftheLab ManagerserverrunsinavirtualmachineonanESX/ESXihostunderLab Managercontrol, certainoperationsaffectallvirtualmachines,suchasUndeployallVMsandRedeployallVMs. These operationsdonotaffectvirtualmachinesonthesameESX/ESXihostthatareoutsideof Lab Managercontrol.

Lab Managerdoesnotpreservetheorderofthestageswhenitcreatestheworkspaces,butyoucanmove configurationsfromoneworkspacetoanothertoachievethesameeffectaspromotinganddemotingthemin Stage Manager. EachorganizationinLab Managercanincludeadefaultworkspace,whichhasspecialcharacteristics. During theupgrade,Lab Managersetsthefirstworkspacealphabeticallyasthedefaultworkspace.
