Lorain County Community College President Dr. Roy Church addressing the attendees
The Huron varsity boys squad hosted the very young Port Clinton varsity team this past week following the Christmas holiday. Over the course of the game, the Tigers maintained a consistent offensive pace to collect the 62-45 SBC victory. Huron played well defensively, forcing Port Clintons guards to settle for three pointers. Early on, they hit those to stay within striking range, but eventually they turned cold. During the third period, the home team outscored the Redskins 17 - 8 to securely put the game out of reach. Center Aaron Casey led the Tigers with 17 points including an impressive break away dunk in the first half. Aaron Driftmeyer contributed 14 points while celebrating his 18th birthday that evening. Top Left: Aaron Casey makes his point with a strong, breakaway dunk. Top Right: Guard Cody Thompson caps the fast break with a flashy no-look assist. Above: Colin McCready, shown here driving to the basket, scores nine points during the Tiger victory.
