It really depends on the management position they are training for, the type of business, and the trainee's

previous on-the-job training in the business and experience. It also depends on the amount of authority the manager, owner, or corporation is willing to delegate to their level. Often times the responsibility and authority is surrendered in stages so that the trainee is not overwhelmed.
