SPECIAL EVENTS
MISSION FUNDRAISERS
Proceeds from the following events, Valentines Concert, Passover Meal, Garage Sale and Golf Scramble benefit Beltway Parks Summer Mission teams traveling all over the world in 2013.

Valentines Dinner & Concert Featuring Denver & the Mile High Orchestra
Saturday / February 16 @ 6:30pm / Beltway Park
Plan now for an evening of dinner and music for a Belated Valentines! Tickets go on sale Sunday, January 13. Denver Bierman and his band of musicians (all Belmont University students), the Mile High Orchestra put together an act that would take them literally to the ends of the earth. Blending a red hot horn section, along with jazz and big band roots, Denver and the Mile High Orchestra have created a sound that is unlike any other. They wowed all of America, as they made the finale of the FOX-TV American Idol spin off The Next Great American Band. While DMHO has been compared to many, the music defies a genre. Smooth vocals combine with a wall of sound that calls up the images of blues, funk and soul. What can be defined is a contemporary pop sensibility with a nod to the great horn bands of the past. Over 10 years the band has evolved and explored many different musical avenues, but one thing that has and will remain unchanged is an unswerving devotion to Jesus Christ which is transparent in their music. Having a career in the music business comes and goes, said Denver. The hope we find in our faith is for an eternity.

Passover Meal

March 27 @ 6:00pm
Easter is not a biblical holiday, but Passover is. Jesus was crucified at Passover. Want to find out more? Plan to attend the Passover Meal on March 27. Tickets go on sale in March.

LIFE GROUPS

What is a Life Group?

Real life change rarely occurs in isolation. Thats why at Beltway you hear a lot about getting together in small groups. Gathering literally all over Abilene and the Big County, people from every stage of life meet in homes to follow Jesus more closely. You might not think that engaging truth or ministering to one another could be so informal yet be so intensely rewarding. Simple. Spiritual. Encouraging. Life Transforming. To learn more about our Life Group ministry, search online at beltway.org/lifegroups, or speak to one of our Life Group pastors.

School of Missions is the umbrella ministry for all short-term mission teams endeavoring to share the heart of Beltway Park to partner with local churches in the Nations of the earth. The emphasis of the school is team preparation, understanding cross-cultural ministry and service to the local churches we partner with. The School fosters unity of purpose between all of the teams being sent out from Beltway Park. During the year the School of Missions will provide four sessions for mission teams to worship and pray together, and hear a short teaching on various pertinent topics. Participation in these sessions is for all team members. We encourage everyone to experience the hands-on ministry of sharing Jesus through a short-term mission trip. The mission of Kids club @ the Park is to provide a faith-based program ensuring a safe environment for the children in our community with programs that emphasize education, the arts, fitness and character building activities.

Staff:
Kids Club @ the Park staff consists of various high-school and university students from the Abilene area, who are also leaders in our community. Each individual staff member contributes their own unique gifts and talents to our many programs. With our ratio at 1-14, our staff can effectively render the environment in which your child will grow, laugh, learn and have fun. Most importantly, however, your child will be loved and cared for. From the moment your child steps off the bus, he/she will be greeted by name and with a smile. (All staff have undergone criminal background checks to ensure the safety of each child in our program.)
