College of Engineering FIRST Robotics Scholarship Description


In partnership with FIRST, the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Engineering will offer two renewable $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors who have participated on a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team or FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team and are admitted to a degree program in Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago for Fall 2013. The scholarship will be renewable for up to four years for any student who makes adequate annual progress toward his or her engineering degree and maintains a grade point average of 3.0 or higher out of 4. The amount of the scholarship will be increased to $3,000 per year in the third and fourth year of study for students who continue to meet the renewal requirements over a long duration.
