SPC 25, Methods of Testing Forced Convection and

Natural Convection Air Coolers for Refrigeration

1. PURPOSE: This standard: SPC 202, Commissioning Process for Buildings and (a) establishes uniform methods of testing for obtaining Systems, will hold conference calls on the following performance data, dates at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm (Eastern). (b) lists and defines the terms used in testing, February 7, 2013 (c) specifies data to be recorded and formulas to be used in March 7, 2013 calculations, and April 4, 2013 (d) sets limits and tolerances in testing. May 2, 2013 June 6, 2013 2. SCOPE: This standard prescribes methods of testing the cooling capacities and air flow rates of forced convection For additional information contact Gerald Kettler, Chair of and natural convection air coolers for refrigeration. It does SPC 202 (gjkettler@att.net). not include air coolers of the recirculated primary liquid refrigerant type. It does not include air-conditioning units for which testing methods are given in other standards. Note: This committee is especially interested in obtaining members in the General and User interest categories.

Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings Interpretation 90.1-2007-14 December 11, 2012, refers to the requirements presented in ANSI/ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1-2007, Section G3.1.3.10, regarding ChilledWater Pumps (System 7 & 8).
