USCs Intramurals 2010 Opening Program The Opening Program started with the banner presentation by some chosen Carolinian faculty, staff and students followed by a presentation by the USC dancers. Next were the marching ceremony and the majorettes with the drum corps. Then, the candidates for the first ever Mr. and Ms. Intramurals was presented followed by their respective players from each college. An inspirational song was rendered by a special guest before the prayer, which was then followed by the Philippine National Anthem and the USC Hymn. After that, a speech was given by the administration President, Fr. Dionisio Miranda, SVD. The oath of sportsmanship came after and the declaration of the Opening of Intramurals 2010 by Fr. Miranda. The Most Outstanding Alumni of USC 2010 were also acknowledged. The Search for Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2010 commenced as the candidates introduced themselves and presented a dance number. After that was the Cheerdance Competition. Another intermission numbers were given by chosen USC athletes for their Wushu dance and the Dance Sport Champions wowed the audience by performing graciously even without music. Then, the anticipated awarding of Mr. and Ms. Intramurals took place. The awarding was followed by the ceremonial toss led by Fr. Miranda and the last part was the awarding of the Cheerdance Competition Winners. There were two main highlights of the program: the search for Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 10 and the Cheerdance Competition. The search for Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2010 was one of the most awaited parts since its the first time ever in the whole USC history. The search went perfectly and the participants did well in their dance number. It was really evident that they prepared for their presentation. However, during the part where the candidates introduce themselves they should have waited first for the audience to keep quiet before they start the introduction so everyone can hear what they have to say. The Cheerdance Competition was even more exciting. It was such a wonderful view upon seeing the representatives from each college showcasing their talents in the field of cheerdancing. The stunts were breath-taking and they were very organized and well prepared. The overall performance of the cheerdancers were amazing and worthy of praise. The winners were the best of what they do and they deserve to be recognized. Hopefully, they will keep up the good work for the next years to come. The Opening Program went well but somehow there were still some aspects that could have been improved. The sound system was not that good since the sound produced was not that clear and there were some parts of the program where the sound was not loud enough for everyone to hear especially the part

where the President, Fr. Miranda gave his speech. It would also be nice if the students were seated by college to represent unity among students. The space should have been bigger too to be able to occupy everyone because a lot of students were just on the side and standing while watching.
