Overview:

Many enterprise networks today use separate networks to deliver LAN, voice and data traffic. Packet-based services are delivered to the desktop via Ethernet connections at 10/100 or GigE rates, while circuit-based services, including T-1s for voice, data and video connections, are connected and transported over separate Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) Networks. This network disparity not only creates network complexity, but it increases capital costs and incurs ongoing maintenance expenses. Enterprise companies need to be able to deliver all of their packet and circuit-based services economically, flexibly and reliably across a single network.

The compact Tellabs 8815-5000 multi-service access node can be configured with an assortment of plug-in interface modules to support a variety of multi-service applications. It can reside in the enterprise network in a campus environment or at the carrier edge.
