In recent years, IFC has cemented its partnerships with Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), International Financial Institutions (IFIs), and Export-Credit Agencies (ECAs). These partnerships include: Syndications: through Parallel Loans, DFIs and IFIs can participate in syndicated loans with IFC. IFC uses its existing syndication platform, as well as its deal-structuring expertise and global presence to identify investments, perform due diligence and negotiate loan documents, sharing those benefits with DFIs and IFIs. Joint Activity with IFIs: IFIs and IFC invest jointly in (or have advisory projects with) numerous clients. This requires close collaboration to increase our development impact. Special Initiatives: IFC has also partnered with a number of DFIs/IFIs on its special initiatives. International Financial Institutions
