3.1 Acquire word recognition and word attack skills to recognize words on sight. 3.1.4 compare words for similar and different sounds. 3.2 Acquire keywords at various stages of development. 3.2.1 Recognise complete words in text 3.3 Read and understand phrases, sentences, paragraph, and whole texts. 3.3.2 Read and understand simple sentences. 3.7 Use the dictionary. 3.7.4 Read and select the definition suited to the meaning of the word in the context. 3.7.5 Read and locate the required words in the dictionary. 4.2 Write at word, phrase, sentence and paragraph level in clear, legible print and cursive writing. 4.2.2 Write words and phrases in clear and legible cursive writing

Previous Knowledge
: Pupils already learnt about present tense know how to use dictionary.

Teacher discusses the Teaching Aids students the situations that affected their feelings. What are the things that make you happy/sad/angry?

Teacher introduces a poem Teaching Aids that pupils are going to learn today. Worksheets (From Utusan Shared Reading Malaysia E.LAB . section) Teacher asks pupils to read paragraph by paragraph together in groups. Teacher discusses about the poem and keywords in the poem.

Step 2 (5 minutes)

Teacher explains about past Teaching Aids and present tense used in the story. Analogy teaching Teacher discusses the meaning in the poem and discusses how to use dictionary to solve the task that going to be given to them.
Guided Wrting. 1. Teacher asks pupils to do several selected tasks in the worksheet given to each of them.
2. teacher will write down the answers on the blackboard after 20 minutes.
Teacher summarized moral values from the story e.g; 1. If we are happy, a lot of people like to be friend we us. 2. We must always think positive to keep us healthy
