Capital one financial having lakhs of cust omers in different business like life insurance, a nnuity, banking, financial and manufacturing areas. Capital one financial setup the centers in USA, UK andCANADA to support to their customers. Due to day to day business transactional processing thousandsof applications are filling and thousands of checks and DDs transaction is happening.This data is moved to the Database. This processing is Transactional Processing.We are designing the dataware house and we are moving this business transactional data to datawarehouse. Responsibilities:

Extensively involved in Data Extraction, Transfo rmation and Loading (ETL process) fromSource to target systems using Informatica.

Performed data cleansing and transformation using Informatica.

Worked extensively with Designer tools like S o u r c e A n a l y z e r , w a r e h o u s e D e s i g n e r , Transfor mation Developer, Mapping and Mapplet Designers.

Created data mappings to extract data from different source files, transform the data using Filter,Update Strategy, Aggregator, Expression, Joiner Transformations and then loaded into datawarehouse.

Implemented Slowly Changing dimension type2 methodology for accessing the full history of accounts and transaction information.

Used Update Strategy Transformation to update the Target Dimension tables, type2 updateswhere we insert the new record and update the old record in the target so we can track thechanges in the future.

Developed various mapplets that were then included into the mappings.

Used Workflow Manager to read data from sources, and write data to target databases andmanage sessions.

Worked on Informatica Designer Tools components Source Analyzer, Warehouse Designer,Transformation Developer, Mapping Designer and Mapplet Designer.

Involved in the development of Informatica mappings and also tuned for better performance. Inthe Mappings most of the Transformations were used like the Source

Qualifier, Expression,Filter, Aggregator, Look Up, Update, and joiner, Sequence Generator, Sorter, Rank and Router.

Used Unconnected Look Ups with the combination of Update Strategy to implement Type 2Warehouse.

Lookup tables were implemented at the staging level for the faster response time of Lookups.

Extensively used Informaticas Workflow Manager & Workflow Monitor tools to Load datafrom MS SQL Server , Oracle OLTP sources into the Target Oracle 9i Data Ware House.

Products range from kitchen utensils to food storage etc. The scope of this project was toExtract, Validate and Load the Data Mart for Retail and Sales Analysis. Informatica is used as the ETLTool to Extract, Transform

and Load the data. Data is available in the form of flat files and from Oraclealso.

Responsibilities:

Worked as an ETL Mapping developer.

Extensively used various transformations like Aggregator, Lookup, Expression, Router andFilter Transformations.
