The Career Tracks Programs is a great opportunity for me to learn more about the opportunities that would be available to me from former Smithies. The career track that I am most interested in is the NGO program. I would like to do this program because I have always been an advocate for volunteerism and helping those that are in need. I am a Government Major, and the NGO program is a perfect opportunity for me to expand my horizons. Also, when I graduate Smith, I would like to take a year off and work for an NGO or something similar. Attending this program will help give me ideas on what I may want to do, and I will be able to gain knowledge and important contacts by participating in Career Tracks. The second program that I would like to do if I am unable to attend my first choice is the Marketing and Social Media Program. I think it will be interesting to learn about the how to market and display ideas to others. I am curious about the whole idea of mass social media and being to reach people all over the world with your ideas and beliefs. With one idea, you can change everything by successfully using the marketing and social media aspects that dominate our society today. I know the information that I would learn from the Social Media Program will one day come in handy.
