Bleeding

Severe bleeding = Priority to control bleeding Slight bleeding = Priority to prevent infection

Minor Bleeding Wash and dry your own hands Cover any wounds you have Use disposable gloves Clean wound under running water Pat dry the wound with sterile dressing

Minor Bleeding Clean round the area protecting the wound Swab away from the wound Cover the wound with a sterile dressing
