Coalition Chair, Connie Mack for U.S. Senate (June 2012 November 2012)
Served as a statewide co-chair of Students for Mack, a coalition comprised of voting-age students across the state of Florida designed to engage and give students access to the candidate. Created a template for how to build a strong new-media presence, and grow the student coalitions at universities across Florida. Chaired Gators For Mack, the student coalition at the University of Florida that planned and produced grassroots campaign efforts and campaign events that brought the candidate to Gainesville to meet with students and supporters. Experienced the legislative process by working with congressional staffers on committee (Ways and Means) issues, constituent issues, and additional policy issues. Attended briefings on specific legislative issues, expanded communication in social media (Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube), and edited frank mail that was distributed to approximately 700,000 constituents. Attended lectures and seminars given by members of Congress and high-ranking government officials. Collected information for the Judiciary that was critical to making informed decisions about pretrial release. Registered defendants for supervised pretrial release, a program that has proven benefits and strives to uphold the constitutional presumption of innocence. 2010-2012 2010 2010 2009 2010

Activities

STUDENT GOVERNMENT: Secretary, Fine Arts College Council (Elected, April 2012- Present)

Assistant Director, External Affairs (Fall 2010- Spring 2011)

Member of the Executive Board of the Fine Arts College Council, the umbrella organization that oversees all Student Government funded organizations within the College of Fine Arts. Manage the FACC list serve, communicate with, and create a sense of unity among all of the schools in the College of Fine Arts. Participated in the Florida Student Associations Rally in Tally, a lobbying summit involving representatives from all member schools in Floridas Public University System. Effectively lobbied Florida legislators against block tuition, allowing guns on college campuses, and drastic funding cuts. Engaged the chapter - 130 men - in Student Government campaigning and elections. Coordinated group seating for 90 students at Gator Football Games
