Environmental Health &Safety Professional with diversified experience in Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and Fertilizers industries. Thirty eight years of experience total, around 32 years in Environmental Health and Safety field. Eleven years experience in fertilizers industry. Worked for multinational companies in Egypt and in the Arabian Gulf Area. Worked in managerial capacity for more than 20 years. Supervised major construction projects form the HSE point of view, two fertilizers plants in Egypt, offshore facility upgrading project and one giant gas plant in Qatar. Presented lot of technical papers in conferences in Egypt and around the world. Have excellent command of presentation skills in both HS&E operational and technical subjects.

Chaired the Health, Safety and Environmental committee, the Arab Fertilizers Association, AFA, from November 2007 to December 2009. Was rewarded a recognition certificate in the 16th Annual Forum held in Cairo, Feb. 2010. Former Member of the HS&E group of the International Fertilizers Association, IFA, since 2007 to Feb. 2010.

Main Achievements:
Chaired the HS&E committee for the Arab Fertilizers Association, AFA, for the first round in its life, 2008-2009. His work was appreciated by the board members of AFA. Chaired a HAZOP study on behalf of Petrojet and Enppi, Egypt, to study a 727km oil pipeline for their client, Agip Oil of Libya, 2005. Lead the development of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems for the Egyptian Fertilizers Co. Was assigned as the Management Representative for both management systems. Participate in the construction of two fertilizers plants in the past ten years, EFC1(1999) and EFC2 (2004), Egyptian Fertilizers Company. Both plants are Ammonia/ Urea, 2000 TPD Capacity. Participated developing the first module in HSE Computer Based Training (CBT), Qatar on Gas Testing for OXY-Qatar. Participated in the revamping project of upgrading an offshore facility, OXY Qatar, $400 MM, from 1995 to 1997 as HSE Sr. Advisor with production, drilling and construction running at the same time. Supervised the construction of major gas plant, 800 MM CF/day, Qatar, 1992-1993. Received honorarium letter from HE the Minster of Petroleum of Qatar regarding my active participation in using the local talent while working for Qatar General Petroleum Corporation. HAZOP and safety management system were samples of the appreciation letter.
