S2900

REDUCES THE DISTANCES

The conveyor belts and escalators of the series ALPHAbelt S2900 are straight running belts, with pitch 27 mm. In combination with the very small diameter (56 mm.) of the sprocket 8, they can reduce the distances between the co-working conveyor belts. Assembling various types of plastic segments, we can create belts and escalators with width from 20 up to 2.000 mm, and unlimited length. The great range of the escalator flights gives solutions to all the special requirements of the production procedure. They are designed to convey light and medium loads. They are produced of materials which are suitable for contact with food. They cann function in environment temperature from 60 up to +105C. with SPROCKETS page 50

TYPE: RAISED RIB.
A modular conveyor belt with pitch 27 mm. The design of the contacting surface of the belt with the conveyed product in two levels, enables its co-working with the especially designed ExitEntrance Combs Z8, Slim L150 & L 210, which ensure the regular passage of the conveyed products from and towards the co-working conveyor belts. The small gaps (7,2 mm.) of the raised surface of the belt (cut 2), enable the conveyance of products and packagings with small base, averting their fall in case of side slidings. The connection rod of the segments has diameter 3.5 mm. The motion transmition is made by the plastic sprockets S2900.

INSTALLATION-MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS: The installation procedure of the conveyor belts ALPHAbelt 2400 is simple and fast. Step 1: On the drive shaft and on the idle shaft put the needed amount of sprockets ALPHAbelt S2800. The teeth of all the sprockets must be in the same straight line (drawing 1). The middle sprocket of the drive shaft and the middle sprocket of the idle shaft, must, as well, be in the same straight line (drawing 2). Lock on the shafts the two middle sprockets (drawing 2). Step 2: You receive each belt in one or roles. Connect the end of the one role with the beginning of the other. Never connect the end of the one role with the end of the other or the begiining of the one with the beginning of the other. Insert the connection rod through the holes of the segments, and cut it 1 cm shorther than the belts width. By using a thermal device, create a head (make the diameter smaller) of the two edge holes of the segments, in order to prevent any possible extraction of the connection rod from the segments. Step 3: Put the conveyor belt on the conveyor and the teeth of the sprockets in the insertions of the belt. The belt which is under the metallic construction (to the return of the belt), is not obligatory to be streched (drawing 3). Step 4: The belt is ready to function. Attention: The belt should be in the middle (in relation to the width) of the metallic construction and should touch any point of it, because this will cause its early damage or even break of the belt. Give motion to the belt and watch, for a whole turn of the belt, first the sprockets on the drive shaft and then on the idle shaft, to be in the proper insertions of the belt. If this is not happen, repeat the steps 1 & 3. When you need to uninstall the belt, just extract one or more plastic connection rods, in order to divide the belt in smaller pieces.

INSTALLATION-MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS:

ALPHAbelt S2900

The metallic construction on which the belt functions is the main factor that defines its lasting duration. To succeed the longest duration of the belt, place a plastic wear strip between the belt and the metalic construction (drawing 4). To succeed the maximum capacity of the belt, is useful to put a roller right after the dirve shaft (drawing 5), so as the belt to work with more sprockets teeth. To avoid the belt contacting with the floor if there is an expansion (in case of temperature increase), intall sliding rollers (drawing 3). The plastic motion sprockets, when installed properly on a square drive shaft, ensure the right motion transmission, without causing side slidings of the belt or jumping of the belt. The right motion transmission through the plastic sprockets, eliminates the need to use belts stretchers and side guides. When the sprockets are installed on the shaft and the shaft on the metallic construction, the upper point of the sprockets diametre (in relation to the teeth of the sprockets), should be in the same straight line with the upper point of the metallic construction, on which the belt moves (drawing 6). The motion sprockets can move the belt in both directions, under certain circumstances.

Drawing 4

Drawing 5

Drawing 6

Attention: Once a year, you should check the condition of the connection rod. If its diameter becomes smaller in percentage 15% and more, it should be replaced, because otherwise it will cause problems such as: a. Jumping of the sprockets, b. Disability to extract the connection rod from the belt, c. Early and great damage of the belt, in the points that contact the sprockets, d. Unreasonable break of the belt, e. Early damage of the sprockets teeth. During the function of the belt, a grease to the connection rod (even with water), will give much longer duration.
