The conveyor belts and escalators of the series ALPHAbelt S2900 are straight running belts, with pitch 27 mm. In combination with the very small diameter (56 mm.) of the sprocket 8, they can reduce the distances between the co-working conveyor belts. Assembling various types of plastic segments, we can create belts and escalators with width from 20 up to 2.000 mm, and unlimited length. The great range of the escalator flights gives solutions to all the special requirements of the production procedure. They are designed to convey light and medium loads. They are produced of materials which are suitable for contact with food. They cann function in environment temperature from 60 up to +105C. with SPROCKETS page 50

ESCALATOR FLIGHT TYPE NN. The Escalator Flight S2900 type NN has in both its sides vertical ribs, which on the one hand averti any sticking of the conveyed product on the flight and on the other hand the ribs make it more resistant in breaking. It can be assembled in belts type Grid, Semi-Grid and Flat Top of the series 2900, creating escalators of various shapes. ESCALATOR FLIGHT TYPE FN. The Escalator Flight S2900 type FN has its one side flat and smooth and on the other side it has small vertical ribs, which avert the sticking of the conveyed product on it. It can be assembled in belts type Grid, Semi-Grid and Flat Top of the series 2900, creating escalators of various shapes. ESCALATOR FLIGHT TYPE RF. The Escalator Flight S2900 type RF has its one sode flat and smooth and on its other side it has diagonal ribs which give it bigger resistance in breaking. It can be assembled in belts type Grid, Semi-Grid and Flat Top of the series 2900, creating escalators of various shapes. ESCALATOR FLIGHT TYPE R. The Escalator Flight S2900 type R has on its one side vertical ribs, which avert the sticking of the conveyed product and on its other side has diagonal ribs which give bigger resistance in breaking. It can be assembled in belts type Grid, Semi-Grid and Flat Top of the series 2900, creating escalators of various shapes.

The metallic construction on which the belt functions is the main factor that defines its lasting duration. To succeed the longest duration of the belt, place a plastic wear strip between the belt and the metalic construction (drawing 4). To succeed the maximum capacity of the belt, is useful to put a roller right after the dirve shaft (drawing 5), so as the belt to work with more sprockets teeth. To avoid the belt contacting with the floor if there is an expansion (in case of temperature increase), intall sliding rollers (drawing 3). The plastic motion sprockets, when installed properly on a square drive shaft, ensure the right motion transmission, without causing side slidings of the belt or jumping of the belt. The right motion transmission through the plastic sprockets, eliminates the need to use belts stretchers and side guides. When the sprockets are installed on the shaft and the shaft on the metallic construction, the upper point of the sprockets diametre (in relation to the teeth of the sprockets), should be in the same straight line with the upper point of the metallic construction, on which the belt moves (drawing 6). The motion sprockets can move the belt in both directions, under certain circumstances.

Attention: Once a year, you should check the condition of the connection rod. If its diameter becomes smaller in percentage 15% and more, it should be replaced, because otherwise it will cause problems such as: a. Jumping of the sprockets, b. Disability to extract the connection rod from the belt, c. Early and great damage of the belt, in the points that contact the sprockets, d. Unreasonable break of the belt, e. Early damage of the sprockets teeth. During the function of the belt, a grease to the connection rod (even with water), will give much longer duration.
