The holiday season is behind us. We hope everyone is getting back into the groove of things. February is a busy month for us here at Ivy League of Deer Park. Were not only celebrating Valentines Day and Black History month; this month we are excited to launch our Spanish and gym programs. Your child will now have Spanish and gym class scheduled a few times during the week. They will learn from an age appropriate curriculum every week. Please check with your teacher for gym days, to ensure your child is dressed in sneakers and moveable clothing. In addition to these new programs our older learners will now start Hooked on Phonics and Math. This month is the month of love. We are hosting a date night on Friday February 8 th from 7pm to 8:30pm. The children will enjoy a movie and snack for a small fee of $2. Please sign up in the office by Thursday February 7 th so we have enough supplies. Happy Valentines Day everyone.

Combined insurance will be here from 4pm to 6:30pm on February 26th offering free child identification kits. These kits include digital fingerprints, Facial and voice recognition and a DVD containing it all. Take advantage of this free service.
The children have transition well and are now falling right into the routine. We want to encourage all parents to put your child in underwear every day. Please make sure you put extra clothes and underwear in their cubbies. In the month of February we will be celebrating black History Month. The children got to enjoy their ice cream party thanks to the outstanding participation of our parents. This month in the classroom we will be focusing on Love. Harvard Pre-K
Happy Valentines Day This month for science we will learn about various animals that hibernate during the winter. The children will continue to compare and contrast animals that hibernate and those that dont. In literacy we will focus on the author David Shannon and read his books No David and Davids

Teacher of the Month: Ms. Farah (Harvard Pre-k)

Ms. Farah is our Harvard Pre-k Teacher. Her creativity is an asset to her classroom which shows through her artistic boards. Ms. Farah is a hard worker and very gentle with her children. Her kind and loving spirit sets a calm and productive learning environment in her class. All the children love Ms. Farah and so do we. She is a cherished part of our Deer park Ivy League Family, and Februarys Teacher of the month.
