From I-385 in Greenville: Take Exit 38,


Haywood Road (toward downtown on 385 North turn right onto Haywood Road; from downtown on I-385 South, turn left onto Haywood Road). At the first light, turn right onto Orchard Park Drive. At the second light, cross Patewood Drive and enter the Patewood Medical Campus. Corporate Services is the building to the far right on 255 Enterprise Blvd..

From Greer: Take Hwy. 14 South to Brushy


Creek Road. Turn right onto Brushy Creek and continue for approximately three miles. The name changes to Old Spartanburg Road and then to East North Street. At Mitchell Road Elementary School (on left) turn left onto Mitchell Road. Continue until Mitchell Road dead ends into Hudson Road and turn right. Continue less than one mile and cross Pelham Road. Remain on Hudson Road as it becomes Patewood Drive. Turn left onto the Patewood Medical Campus. Corporate Services is the building to the far right on 255 Enterprise Blvd..

An experienced faculty has been secured for the didactic portion of this one day course that will provide continuing education as well as 8 Category A CE Credits pending SMRT Approval which is a recognized CE mechanism of the ARRT.

The Technologist will learn and be able to apply the following to their daily practice: Learn about congenital heart disease and how MRI is used to assess the pediatric heart. Learn about imaging the foot and ankle and why the FOV is so important. Learn about brain imaging and pathology. Learn the technique MARS and how it is used in imaging the hip and knee with implants. Get new and updated information about devices and implants as well as the future of MR safety with these devices. Learn about MR safety screening in a medical facility. Learn about screening animals for MR scanning and other site specific safety issues. Learn new guidelines for MR safety in 2013 Learn how MR safety relates to the hardware and software of the MRI system. Understand screening devices such as hand held magnets, ferromagnetic detectors and other screening tools.
