Past progressive: The past progressive puts emphasis on the course of an action in the past.

Los tiempos progresivos ("progressive tenses" o "continuous tenses") expresan el "progreso" o desarollo de una accin en un momento dado. El tiempo presente progresivo ("present progressive") expresa una accin que se est desarrollando en el momento presente, generalmente, una accin temporania que comenz hace poco tiempo y que terminar pronto. En ingls, al igual que en espaol, el tiempo presente progresivo est formado por el verbo auxiliar "be" (ser o estar) conjugado en tiempo presente, ms el "present participle" (form + ing) del verbo principal. Nota Existen dos traducciones en espaol, se usa el tiempo pasado progresivo para denotar el carcter progresivo de una accin que es interrumpida por otra, o una accin progressiva y uun momento en el pasado. El pasado progresivo se usa para denotar el carcter progresivo de una de las accines. Futuro perifrastico (going to)

Se puede usar el verbo go (ir) en la forma del presente progresivo (going to) para expresar el futuro. La construccin es la siguiente: be + going to + forma simple del verbo.
