Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these' (Mt 19:14). Children are open and eager to learn, and they quickly accept what they are taught. Sadly, many are taught that jihadnot Jesusis the way to heaven. They are hindered from the Kingdom. This week as we pray, let's remember the innocent little ones and those who work to reach them.

Today's Prayer Requests: From Students, Alumni, and Missionaries

SENEGAL: A missionary asks us to pray for two men who have found Jesus in a town in Northern Senegal, for their spiritual growth and their witness to family members. Pray also for the small church they attend. NIGERIA: Pray for the leaders and members of Boko Haram. This extremist group seeks nothing less than the conversion of all to Islam, and its members have spread into surrounding countries as well. There are often churches and believers in the areas where they operate. Pray that these Muslims will have an opportunity to hear of Jesus' love for them. Pray that the Lord will empower Christians to reach out with love and the boldness of the Spirit, and reveal himself to these Muslims in dreams and visions.

TUNISIA: Pray for the people of Tunisia (99% Sunni Muslims) as they face terrorist threats and political instability. Protests erupted in the capital, Tunis, this past Wednesday when an opposition leader, Chokri Belaid, was shot and killed. Belaid strongly supported democracy and had challenged Ennahda, the moderate Islamist party that dominates the government, for ignoring increasing extremist activity. Also this week security has been tightened in the south as Tunisia fears attacks on gas and oil fields. Pray that the God of Peace will reveal himself to those who seek Him. Pray for the few evangelical believers (fewer than 1,000), that the Lord will keep them and use them to reach others.

Pray for children in the Islamic world. More than a quarter of the worlds 2 billion children live in Muslim countries. They begin to pray 5 times/day at the age of 10 or 12 and begin to observe the Ramadan fast when they reach puberty. Pray that, at this impressionable time of life, the Lord will open doors for children to hear the Good News about Jesus. Pray for pastors, missionaries, and others who work with children, through schools, kids club, camps, orphanages, and other outreaches.

For Muslim Women**

Please pray for a young Muslim girl in Chicago, U.S.A, who is attending Bible studies. She has a young child and is losing her home due to a failed, abusive marriage. She has no means of income as a single woman, and in her despair is vulnerable to enticements that are harmful to her. Pray that her Christian friends will have a special anointing for opportunities that God gives them to reach her.
