Join us on our journey to Cambodia! Don't panic, we aren't asking you to literally join us as we embark on a journey to Cambodia. Rather, we hope you will partner with us by learning about the Khmer people, praying for their salvation, praying for Gods ministry there, and praying how God will use you to further the ministry there. We are traveling almost 10,000 miles around the world to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a Kingdom that is in desperate need of hope. But we need your help to do so!

Pray, Survey, Evangelize

We have been blessed as God has given us a time back in Alabama (Blakes home). We have enjoyed serving at Nazareth Baptist Church which is where Blake preached his first sermon. As we are serving here, we are still preparing to follow God's leading for our family to move to evangelize in the country of Cambodia. While we are here, we will be going on a short term trip to pray, survey, and evangelize April 30 - May 28, 2013. This trip will include 4 days of travel, 9 days in the capital city of Cambodia, Phnom Penh, and 15 days in the jungle villages of Mondulkiri , and Ratanakiri. Our task while going will be to: PRAY continually through every venture of the journey for (1) spiritual bondage (2) doctrinal deception (3) specific missionary tasks to be completed in the future (4) a clear vision of the most effective missionary strategy

living conditions, potential for outsider dwelling in the area among the natives.

EVANGELIZING

Why Cambodia?
We hear this often. Of course we feel that the spread of the gospel in all countries (including the U.S.A.) is vital. The good news of Christs birth, death, burial and resurrection should be proclaimed among all people. But the fact is, it is not. Our hearts are in line with the Apostle Pauls when he wrote and thus I aspired to preach the gospel, not where Christ was already named, so that I would not build on another mans foundation but as it is written, They who had no news of Him shall see, And they who have not heard shall understand. Romans 15:20-21 Here are some of the startling facts that led us to have a burden for the Khmer people: Population of Cambodia: 14,952,665 in a country the size of Oklahoma Religions: 96.4 % Budhism 2.1 % Muslim 1.70% Christianity

Will you assist us in this important task of praying, surveying, and evangelizing Cambodia?

The Cambodian people have been through major social and religious upheaval following the massive genocide in the late 1970s. Cambodia is rebuilding their country and we pray that God will be the foundation of that rebuilding. The government welcomes Christians to come to Cambodia as a stimulant to the economy but we know that God is using this openness to bring about salvation through Jesus

How You Can Partner With Us

We would be foolish to think that we can embark on this journey alone. We are thankful that God has placed you in different parts of our lives and we believe He is going to use you in helping us share the gospel in Cambodia. The first way you can partner with us is to commit to PRAY. Specifically, we ask that you pray that God will reveal Himself to the Khmer people as we come into contact with them. We ask that you pray that God will place other believers in our paths so that we may encourage and sharpen one another. We ask that you pray against the deception that is rooted in false teaching within Cambodia. The second way you can partner with us is to commit

The Breakdown
$10,680 could be covered by only 54 people sending $200. Or 107 people sending $100. Or 214 people sending $50. Or 428 people sending $25. After prayerfully considering partnering with us, what amount are you willing to contribute for the Gospel to spread in Cambodia?

FINANCIALLY. The costs

of this survey trip, as well as our long-term trip, will cost us a lot financially. We are committed to continuing to work to save for our upcoming travels, but we are unable to do it alone. Our immediate need is $10,680 for the May survey trip. As mentioned before, this trip will allow Blake, Alecia, Dale, Hudson, and Haven an opportunity to be in country to survey the opportunities for mission work. $10,680 for one person is a lot but we are thankful that in the body of Christ, we are not one person but a collection.

Q: Arent Cambodians hostile towards Christians? A: In 1975 the Khmer Rouge nearly destroyed Cambodia when it overtook the government. During that time, they forced all Christians out of the country. They ruled heavily for 4 years but their reign was not completely over until 1997 when the ruler of the Khmer Rouge was sentenced to life in prison. Since the regime has been overthrown, Cambodia is rebuilding its country and is welcoming to any and all westerners whether they come for vacation or ministry.
