How wonderful!To the spiritual masters who point out the profound and perfectly pure path,

DRUB LA 'D GU TSL WA'I YI DAM LHA

the chosen deities of meditation who grant perfect fulfilment of all desired accomplishment

BAR CHE MA L SEL WA'I K'AN 'DRO LA

and to the dakinis who remove all obstacles without exception I pray.

SL WAN 'DEB SO TSE WE ZUNG DU SL

Please hold me in your love.

DAG NI 'CHI WAR GYUR PA'I D KYI TS'E

As to myself, not becoming attached to the appearances of this lifetime

TS'E 'DIR SHEN PA'I NANG WA MI 'GYUR SHING

when the time of death arrives,

SHING K'AM SHN DU 'PO WA'I DRN 'DN GYI

as I clearly recall and decide with firm determination to transfer to some other pure realm,

L SEM DRL WA'I DUG NGL ME PAR SHOG

may there be no pain in the separation of body and mind.

TS'E DI'I NANG WA NUB PAR GYUR PA'I TS'E

As the appearances of this life start to fade,

JA' ' DUG DANG ME TOG CHAR 'BEB SHING

may I be welcomed by dakas and dakinis

YANG NYN LU GAR RL MO'I TS'OG DANG CHE

with parasols of rainbow light and streaming rains of flowers,

PA' WO K'AN 'DR DN NE SU WAR SHOG

and all manner of sweet songs, dance and music.

DE TS'E DRN PA MA NYAM KYE RIM SL

At that time, the creation phase vividly clear with unimpaired mindfulness

DZOG RIM TING 'DZIN MI YO NGN GYUR NE

and the profound meditative state of the completion phase perfectly manifest and unwavering,

ZUNG 'JUG DOR JE 'CHANG GI KUR SHENG TE

their primordial unity arisen as the enlightened form of Vajradhara,

MA NOR LAM LA DAG GI DR PAR SHOG

may I proceed by unmistaken paths.

GL TE LE KYI 'KOR WAR 'KYAM SI NA

If it so happens that, because of my karma, I wander off, lost, into samsara,

NYL WA'I SA CH'OG YI 'ONG SHL YE K'ANG

let the regions of hell appear as a delightful mansion,

NYL SUNG NAM KYANG NANG TONG LHA YI KU

its guardians arise as divine embodiments of appearance emptiness

NAR ME DUG NGL DE WAR 'CHAR WAR SHOG

and the sufferings and pain of the Hell with no Remission manifest as bliss.

RIG 'DZIN LA MA NAM KYI TA' NE TEN

May I be supported on all sides by the vidyadhara lamas

YI DAM LHA TS'OG NAM KYI GYAB TEN NE

with the host of chosen deities of meditation supporting me from behind

CH KYONG SUNG MA NAM KYI CH'I NE KYONG

and the guardians of the Dharma and oathbound ones protecting me from without,

PA' WO K'AN 'DR DN NE SU WAR SHOG

and be made welcome by dakas and dakinis.

NUB CH'OG OR GYN ZANG DOG PL GYI RI

Hidden in a lotus bud, may I be born

PE MA ' KYI SHL YE CHEN PO NA

in the vast Palace of LotusColored Light

RIG 'DZIN LA MA SHUG PA'I SHING K'AM SU

on the Glorious CopperColored Mountain of Uddiyana,

PE MA'I BUB SU DZ TE KYE WAR SHOG

the pure land that is dwellingplace of the spiritual teacher, master of pure awareness, in the western
direction.

KYE MA T'AG TU GYL SE PE 'JUNG DANG

Immediately I am born, meeting with the LotusBorn Lord, Son of the Victorious Ones, in person

NG SU JL TE YIN PAR NGO SHE TE
and recognizing him as this,

CH MA MIN PA'I M G DRAG PO YI

because of my intense and uncontrived devotion and respect,

'DRL ME TEN CING JE SU 'DZIN PAR SHOG

may he always take me as his follower and may I never again become separate from him.

DE TS'E RIG 'DZIN PE MA 'JUNG NE DANG

At that time may I become a legitimate heir of the Vidyadhara Padmasambhava,

SANG GYE JANG SEM PA' WO K'AN DRO'I TS'OG
the hosts of buddhas, bodhisattvas, dakinis

GYL WA NAM KYI SE SU DAG GYUR NE

and all the Victorious Ones

MI NUB TEN PA'I GYL TS'N 'DZIN PAR SHOG

and take up the neverfailing victory banner of the Teachings.

K'AM SUM 'KOR WA'I SEM CHEN MA L PA

Having swiftly liberated all sentient beings of the three realms of cyclic existence without exception

'KOR WA'I GYAM TS'O CHE LE NYUR DRL NE

from the great ocean of samsara,

NAM DRL T'AR PA'I LING DU 'TRI N PA'I

may I become an omniscient steersman

DE PN T'AM CHE KY'EN PAR DAG GYUR CHIG

capable of leading them all to the island sanctuary of total liberation.

LU ME K CHOG SUM GYI JIN LAB DANG

By the blessings of the undeceiving Triple Gem,

YI DAM LHA TS'OG NAM KYI N T'U DANG

the magical power of the host of deities of meditation

DAG GI LHAG SAM DAG PA'I T'U TOB KYI

and the power and force of my own pure motivation and intentions,

JI TAR MN PA NE 'DIR 'DRUB PAR SHOG

may this be realised right here, exactly as formulated.
